why do you need to keep the xm antenna close to the radio antenna doesnt your fm modulator plug into the coax between the factory radio and its fm antenna on the roady2 which im assuming he has it has a built-in wireless fm modulator that transmits very-low-power fm from the satellite antenna. youre thinking of the traditional wired fm modulator that connects in-line with the vehicle antenna wire. this type of modulator is available as a separate part and provides better sound quality than the wireless modulator since its putting its fm signal directly on the wire and blocking any reception from the antenna while its on. once while travelling down a highway i came across another vehicle that also had a wireless fm modulator apparently on the same frequency as mine. as i would approach the vehicle my reception would go out. slow down... it got better. i knew what was happening but apparently he didnt because he kept trying to fiddle with his receiver .

ok im having the same issues and im not very handy. can someone please provide assistance ive got the drivers side door sounding like horrible grinding if the power locks are used and the passenger side as well. the driver side power window stopped working as well. this week the alarm starts going off every 5th or 6th time you open the door. on the drivers side door ive been able to remove the plastic shell and ive peeled away the white cover where i can get to the actuator. is there no way to seperate the metal shell so i can see what im doing in there better which piece is it that needs replaced .

i have a 1997 ram 1500 that makes a strange metallic scraping noise only when the truck is moving. it definately sounds like its coming from the tranny. its a sound thats hard to explain but it doesnt sound like two pieces of metal scraping together. its a constant sound that sounds more like what youd get when filling up a portable air tank. the sound doesnt happen all the time but it does make the sound more often than not. ive changed the tranny filter and oil and it still does the same thing. i also inspected and serviced the differential to factory specs just to be sure there was nothing wrong there. any ideas would be really appreciated. mike .
