P0456 fault code 2002 3.9L

Q: i got a fault code p0456 2002 dakota 3.9l i checked the obvious gas cap vac/vent lines nothing found do i need a special device to remove the fault code or can i just remove the battery for a few minutes and see if the code comes back. are there any other items i could check .
