Oxygen Sensor & Power Outlet

Q: my check engine light recently came on and that same day i noticed the alway-on power outlet in the dash was not working. i checked the power outlet fuse and found it okay. i took the truck to the dealer who replaced the oxygen sensor the cause of the check engine light. i did not mention the outlet. when i got home the power outlet was working and has been for the past week. is there any way these seemingly unrelated systems could interact such as some diagnostic mode or is this just a coincidence .
