used to sell cooper tires.....my guess is that the coopers will be cheaper than uniroyal. we dicontinued cooper for larime tires but i think cooper are like ed said decent tires. you get what you pay for. any opinions by users of cooper ast and uniroyal laredo awp tires theyre one of the few options in the old 16.5 size on my dodge. tia have not used a ast. but have used other cooper tires in the past and found cooper to be a decent tire. roy .

i ran coopers on my previous pickup and got great mileage out of them and when the uniroyal on my current 97 gmc wore out i replaced them with coopers as well. imho they are a good tire and even though they may be a bit chepaer they lasted longer than my uniroyals ever did! a lot of folks in this area run coopers. on wed 17 sep 2003 155546 -0700 ed light nobody@nobody.there wrote x-any opinions by users of cooper ast and uniroyal laredo awp tires theyre x-one of the few options in the old 16.5 size on my dodge. x- x-tia -- visit my website http//www.frugalmachinist.com contents foundry and general metal working and lots of related projects. regards roy aka chipmaker // foxeye opinions are strictly those of my wife....i have had no input whatsoever. remove capital a from chipmakr for correct email address .

cooper is a pretty good tire. they are really inexpensive around my area because they are made nearby. ive heard that they were recently awarded the tire contract for the formula 2000 racing series. kb i ran coopers on my previous pickup and got great mileage out of them and when the uniroyal on my current 97 gmc wore out i replaced them with coopers as well. imho they are a good tire and even though they may be a bit chepaer they lasted longer than my uniroyals ever did! a lot of folks in this area run coopers. on wed 17 sep 2003 155546 -0700 ed light nobody@nobody.there wrote x-any opinions by users of cooper ast and uniroyal laredo awp tires theyre x-one of the few options in the old 16.5 size on my dodge. x- x-tia -- visit my website http//www.frugalmachinist.com contents foundry and general metal working and lots of related projects. regards roy aka chipmaker // foxeye opinions are strictly those of my wife....i have had no input whatsoever. remove capital a from chipmakr for correct email address .

thats funny i just replaced my uniroyals with bfgoodrich and am not impressed. i agree with you that the uniroyals had a hard time getting my truck moving in the rain but the truck tracked true and straight and would turn like a sports car on dry roads. the bfgoodrich tend to make it wander a little and act skittish at highway speeds. this surprised me considering how well their tires work on my transam and magnum. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving i used to run uniroyals back in the day didnt like them at all. no traction on damp ground and id imagine much worse on wet or snowy ground. didnt keep em long enough to find out. used to install coopers but its been ages. they were decent nicely priced tires. all i run is bfgoodrich at/ta kos now. all the people i know that use their trucks ie - 4xing or snow plowing run bfgs. not sure how they compare in price to uniroyal but theyre prolly more expensive than the cooper and i know they make em in 16.5. jeremy any opinions by users of cooper ast and uniroyal laredo awp tires theyre one of the few options in the old 16.5 size on my dodge. tia -- ed light smiley -/ ms smiley - .

i am completely satisfied with my bfg ats in all weather. have a friend with the same tires who currently has 56k on them still going strong. i personally will not buy a different truck tire. thats funny i just replaced my uniroyals with bfgoodrich and am not impressed. i agree with you that the uniroyals had a hard time getting my truck moving in the rain but the truck tracked true and straight and would turn like a sports car on dry roads. the bfgoodrich tend to make it wander a little and act skittish at highway speeds. this surprised me considering how well their tires work on my transam and magnum. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving i used to run uniroyals back in the day didnt like them at all. no traction on damp ground and id imagine much worse on wet or snowy ground. didnt keep em long enough to find out. used to install coopers but its been ages. they were decent nicely priced tires. all i run is bfgoodrich at/ta kos now. all the people i know that use their trucks ie - 4xing or snow plowing run bfgs. not sure how they compare in price to uniroyal but theyre prolly more expensive than the cooper and i know they make em in 16.5. jeremy any opinions by users of cooper ast and uniroyal laredo awp tires theyre one of the few options in the old 16.5 size on my dodge. tia -- ed light smiley -/ ms smiley - .

ive had uniroyal tiger paws on a couple trucks and i didnt like them at all. i have them on my 2000 sonoma as well. the biggest thing i notice about them is the annoying squealing going around even the lightest turn... they always squeal. traction and treadwear leaves alot to be desired too. theres a reason they were used as factory tires on so many vehicles... cheap! ive got mastercraft courser htrs made by cooper on my 95 f-150 and they have been really good imo. got about 28000 miles on them and still around 7/32s tread. tony kimmell any opinions by users of cooper ast and uniroyal laredo awp tires theyre one of the few options in the old 16.5 size on my dodge. tia .
