Q: okay... simple test to see if the switch is doing what it should... remove the starter relay. put a voltmeter or test light on terminal 86 grounded to the battery. with the clutch depressed turn the ignition switch to start. if you get voltage/light the ignition switch and clutch switch are just fine. if you get no voltage/light bypass the clutch switch unplug it and short the two pins and try again. if you get voltage then the clutch switch is bad. if you still get nothing then it may very well be a bad ignition switch. next followup... with the ignition switch on check for voltage at terminal #30 of the relay. if none is present this is your problem. figure out why. could be the fuse in the pdc could be a busted wire somewhere else... i would assume youve already checked the fuse but you never know lastly for the hell of it with the ignition switch on and the truck out of gear clutch switch bypassed or someone standing on it short terminal #30 to terminal #87 and see if the engine turns over. if this does it youve got a grounding problem. .

nate; why not use the 2-barrel 360 manifold and the big holley 2-barrel g are you looking for a cast iron factory unit or an aftermarket aluminum unit the cast iron will likely be easier to find if you go with a 360 4bbl intake. swap on a set of 360 heads to match the port size if its of concern. most of the aluminum intakes will be for the larger 340/360 port size but should bolt on to the 318 with no problem. hi max an old cast iron stock intake will be fine i just want to put a 4 barrel on my m880. i dont expect a whole lot from it just want more than the puny stock setup its currently running. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

thats what ive been thinking too. i bought one at wal-mart. i installed it myself too in about an hour and a half. it cot me $35.00 plus my time and has worked without flaw for the last year and a half. time will tell. wow.. someones got their underwear in a bunch. perhaps you should run to wal-mart and buy some of that underwear. i suggest some soap too. phew. i buy some auto parts at wally world too! good prices on mobil1 and fluids. their 77c carb-cleaner is nasty. it will melt a hole in a t-shirt with overspray if your not careful. gumout and stp never get that caustic. will remove paint in quickly too. i thought bulldog was one of the top-selling starters as they are re-branded and sold thru various parts houses and stores under different labels. i figure its installed by a reputable company me and serviced by a reputable company me. i just dont like those 18 year olds at the local tint-n-tunes shops digging around with my wiring when i am capable of installing this myself and wont skimp on solder or zip-ties. -dje bulldog is shit just like everyfuckingthing at walmart is shit get a real remote start made by a reputible company sold by a reputible company serviced by a reputible company installed by a reputible company. walmart is for underwear and soap not buying autoparts stereos etc. is it difficult to install a remote car starter such as bulldog in a 1999 dodge ram 1500 pickup thanks i .

mike with emissions test equipment you can prove that is is the cat. we have replaced several experiencing the same problems - and it only gets worse. you wont believe the power becuase it gradually dis-appears. we are an automotive jobber store and the best price and quality combined we have found is the mopar/dodge cat. the last one net was arround $38x.xx i believe. and yes - the ram only has a fuel filter/screen in the tank w/ the fuel pump assy. -- dudlee brennfoerder edgar ne 68935 i have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 truck. when its not hot i can start and drive it ok but after a while it loses power. it used to go weeks between power loss then days now i can drive it 10 minutes and it starts to lose power. at first i thought it was dirty fuel injectors. i put injector cleaner through it and it seemed to help. but im starting to think its something else. any suggestions i am considering new plugs wires and coil and new fuel filter. maybe it is the fuel injectors. id appreciate any tips thanks mike .

why not use the 2-barrel 360 manifold and the big holley 2-barrel by the time im done ill need more cfm than the 2 barrel. im definately not building a race truck or anything but since its a 76 model there are no emmissions requirements at all so after i get an inspection sticker im cutting the entire exhaust off and running headers with dual straight pipes. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

locate some butyl cellosolve to make the oil absorb all the water and use according to instructions http//www.hastingsmfg.com/service%20tips/coolingsystems.htm rick -- my real e-mail address is yofuri@oakharbor.net i have a nice looking 1964 dodge lb with slant 6 & 3 spd on tree and it sipped water when i drove over large puddle at t inersection. that was during rain. on second day i drove and stopped in middle of that same puddle looking both ways before going on right. next day i checked oil. there was white smudges on oil dipstick!! that was last month. how did the water got in was of a loose oil pan! i got under the engine to tighten bolts on oil pan then had to change oil & fitler twice but not drive it daily but once after several miles of driving on each oil change. the color of oil looks better but still the darn water there! the color of oil looks almost transparent toffee. i was told by an employee where i work that i must sell it! i just had that truck for only 5 months! i dont want to sell it since it ran so good and quiet! should i keep on changing oil until the oil looks like it just drank fresh oil out of yellow pennzoil pints -or- sell it any alternatives tia! -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

more than a 360 would flow possibly more than a stock 360 on a 2 barrel with stock exhaust is capable of flowing. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

hi everyone just a simple set of questions. does anyone have a dodge ram with the camper package ie the overload springs do you have them with a truck camper or some kind of tow trailer do they really increase your payload or do they just make it a safer way to carry the load i have a 2001 ram quad full bed and have only towed a small cargo trailer. i really want to know how it might carry a truck camper. if you carry a camper how much does it weight empty and if you know loaded weight. thanks lou .

my 97 dakota does it also some times and very occasionally it will rev on 2-3 shift until i back off on gas then all is well for weeks. dealer trans mechanic said it could be the solenoid pack which they always replace on a rebuild. anyone have a 97 45re solenoid pack to sell id like to try it. dick i have a 99 ram 2500 that does the same thing. mine works fine most of the time but wont shift into 3rd about once a month. dealer says bring it in when its not working.so im waiting for it to fail. .
