Octane

Q: from what i understand gasoline of two different octane ratings can be blended to get a middle octane rating... i had heard that the mid-grade gasolines are just a blending of the 87-octane and the 93-octane fuels that are delivered to the stations... if this is the case what would be the equivalent octane rating of diesel fuel could a little of it be added to gasoline to increase the octane rating of 87-octane to a higher value i seem to remember way-back-when people would periodically run a gallon of diesel fuel mixed with their regular gasoline... .

rumor has it that he has been sharing with mac and maybe dale but there is no way hes gonna let it go east of the mississippi. roy has tried and failed to capture it with a wild ride out west on his four wheeler. red is just too sneaky. youll notice that the only two not talking are roy and dale i think they are otherwise occupied politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich. .

doing that may increase your octane but at the risk of damaging the converter and with modern computer controlled vehicles i doubt that you would see any benefit in doing this. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving from what i understand gasoline of two different octane ratings can be blended to get a middle octane rating... i had heard that the mid-grade gasolines are just a blending of the 87-octane and the 93-octane fuels that are delivered to the stations... if this is the case what would be the equivalent octane rating of diesel fuel could a little of it be added to gasoline to increase the octane rating of 87-octane to a higher value i seem to remember way-back-when people would periodically run a gallon of diesel fuel mixed with their regular gasoline... .

somehow i knew youd remember it oh man what memories!!!! the original 210 sunoco was just about as low as you could get in octane. lawn mowers pinged on it. but you could add greater percentages of the tet-lead / benzene and i forgot the other compounds to it and end up with 105.5 octane 260 that loved high crs or lots of timing. 13.7 quarters in a 68 road runner on f-70-14 belted goodyears. im originally from central indiana btw. budd from what i understand gasoline of two different octane ratings can be blended to get a middle octane rating... i had heard that the mid-grade gasolines are just a blending of the 87-octane and the 93-octane fuels that are delivered to the stations... hey budd; remember the old sunoco stations with the pumps that had the selector that let you choose your blend g .

thanks for your reply. the kit came with a separate switch. as far as wiring the only wire that tied into the truck wire harness was one wire that spliced into the parking light hot wire. i have a 2004 dodge dakota. i installed a set of mopar fog lights which i purchased from the dealership. when the brights are turned on arent the fog lights supposed to go out mine stay on so im wondering if i wired them wrong or is this the way they are supposed to work. i followed the instructions exactly so i dont know what i did wrong. i mentioned this to the service department where i bought them and they werent much help. i dont think they ever installed this add on light kit before. has anyone out there installed these lights who can answer this guest im wondering if i might have a bad relay or something. i appreciate any help. thanks dennis yes the fog lights go off when the brights are turned on. did you replace the light switch it should have been part of the kit -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .
