dakota & durango have been on cbs recently for bad ball joints are my tires going to fall off jason bryans answer is a bit vague..and taken as its written wrong. a ball joint upper and lower are basically in its simplest form a ball and socket fitting that your hub assembly attaches to that allows the vehicle to be steered. it is the pivot point for the steering axis and typically when bad the vehicle will tend to wander after a series of bumps in the road... .
