Q: did they take the cats out then as the v10s i seen and worked on all have a dual set right in front of the muffler! they were either hi-flow cats or hollow-flows. id start with the stock cats in place as you dont want to lower backpressure too much - especially with the relatively low redline of the v10. i cant imagine that milage can be must less than 14... which i get with the 5.9ls hmmm.... not much of an imagination then huh v10s with 4.10 gears can expect 9-12mpg empty and maybe 10-13mpg with 3.54s. both my v10s 95 3500 dually auto/4.10 and 99 2500 5spd/4.10 got around 10mpg when they were stock. that was empty. towing mpgs were down around 6-7 with about a 7k trailer staying under 65mph the whole way. .

i have had 6-7 dodge ram pickups and recently decented to buy a v10 to pull a car trailer and the fifth wheel. i have been looking at 1999+ dodges - and recently found a 2003 with 4k on it. has anyone done anything to make the exhaust sound better the stock exhuast sounds terrible especially on a vehicle with this much performance sound like a pinto! you can make it sound like a viper which imo is still not very appealing. jeff please email me partsandmore@alltel.net .

whenever it rains the engine light comes on my dodge grand caravan and sometimes the radiator fans continue to run after i turn off the engine. they 2 fans will run until the battery is dead. it never happens when it is not raining. i swapped a couple of the relays around and the problem did not show up again. yet a couple of days ago the engine lite came back on coming back to dallas from east texas in heavy rain. this time the radiator fans did not continue to spin and run down the battery when i turned the engine off yet by the time i got home it was not raining. i took the van to autozone and they read the computer code for me. they did not know what it means. in a previous post i was told it was the radiator relay under the aircleaner box but i cannot see any relays underneath there. all the relays appear to be beside the battery and a few under the dash yet there is nothing labeled radiator fans in the bank of relays. searching https//www.rockauto.com i did find some relays that almost look like the ones in the relay bank next to the battery. but what caught my attention was the one that looks like http//www.rockauto.com/ref/smp/smpdetail2.htmlry330.jpg it is labeled engine cooling fan relay i am wondering if this is mounted on the chassis somewhere maybe under the air filter box as i was told earlier. i have 2 questions 1. does the engine cooling fan relay mount on the chassis and if so where is it located can i see it without removing the air filter box. 2. what does the code below indicate is wrong. this is what the autozone ticket says troublecode obdii alpha p code p1491 secondary switch solenoid circuit mulfunction any ideas thanks in advance... -- john behneman john dot behneman at gmail dot com yes that is the fan relay and yes it is mounted on the frame rail as i told you before .

durango 99 replaced airbags and engine stalled immediately after starting. little bit of gas would keep it running tho. check engine did not light. after disconnecting & reconnecting the battery it now runs fine. i wonder what could be the problem here airbag control module was replaced as well could it have interfered with pcm or something airbag light is off btw... presumably when you replaced the airbags you disconnected the battery. this erased the memory in the pcm and it had to relearn the basic idle parameters. it sometimes takes a few minutes of idling/driving to do this. the battery had been disconnected before with no adverse effects on idle speed. ok lets hope its just an isolated incident... thx! peter .
