OT: WTF is going on?

Q: wtf is going on with this rash of school shootings across the nation this is ridiculous to say the least! sue is a teacher. i asked if she wanted to take here 357 in the morning. seriously here they keep the schools pretty much secure. but no matter how secure you arent going to stop some sick sob. roy here the only hs we have has freaking metal detectors at all entrances and armed security guards. some of the schools up state have damn near prison style fencing around them. what happen to the days of a school yard fist fight with a winner and a loser .

tbone wrote azwiley1 wrote or the really stupid thing to do is allow parents to be parents again! parents do not want to be parents. recently i was at a local mall on a 11pm. there were numerous groups of kids ages 10-14 unsupervised hanging out around the arcade and food court. 25 years ago this was unheard of at that age. when kids today get in trouble at school and are punished with detentions suspension etc. the parents then sue the school. the parents defend the childs actions letting the child no their bad behavior is acceptable or its not their fault. parents can be parents again. they just choose not too. some choose not to but many cannot afford to. when both parents are working just to make ends meet it gets a little difficult to fit actual parenting in and then you can factor in the guilt of them knowing that they cannot be there when they should be it is not to hard to see why they coddle them more than they should. no doubt in some cases both parents do have to work but around here i think both parents work largely so they can keep the bimmer and the suv in the garage of their 5000 sq. ft. home for the three of them and the summer house on the maine coast. then theres always the issue of women now doing what men have been doing for centuries hide out in the work place from family responsibilities! i really think a lot of parents should have opted for cats instead! smh .

have you ever seen the bumper sticker outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns think about it. it seems that is where you are going. roy on this note i have to chime in. a few years ago here locally there was an episode where several armed men came into a restaurant held the place hostage took several of the women into the bathroom and commenced in raping them while their husbands were held at gunpoint along with the rest of the restaurant in the next room. now its my belief that if we us citizens not convicts illegals or anyone who has lost citizenship for any reason were allowed to carry a pistol into town on our side these thugs would have never dreamed of doing that or if they had they wouldnt have made it past the foyer. -- ---------------------------- -chris 05 ctd 06 liberty crd real trucks dont need spark plugs. .
