ive been going back and forth over this for some time. we spent the entire morning going over expenses. my pension will be adaquate but my wife is 10 years younger so medical insurance becomes a issue. living here in ma is a expensive deal. been looking hard at fla. as i have a brother/siter in law there. seems i could sell this house and buy one the same size and put about 150k in my pocket. already found id save about1k on auto and homeowners insurance. now to get some figures on taxs and the like. one phone calll to my organized sister in law should provide the rest of the info. now to get my wife a job teaching there. what part of florida teaching positions always seem to be in demand. she shouldnt have any trouble as long as there are no extra requirements for teaching in that state. i have some home repairs to finish then im going to get serious about another job. i had a water line break in my upstairs bathroom and it did quite a bit of damage. water damage is a bitch but repairable drywall and kilz or bin my insurance company sent out a crew to dry the house out right away. they had dehumidifiers and fans running for about a week. they drilled holes in the walls under the baseboard so they could get hoses blowing air into them. all the wet insulation and carpeting got removed right away so there wont be a mold problem later. i stripped the wallpaper in the bathroom on saturday and there isnt any drywall damage there. i think the wallpaper saved it. i did prime the walls with kilz so i wouldnt have a problem with the paint not sticking to the remaining trace amount of wallpaper adhesive. i painted that bathroom yesterday and laid out a floor template today. i start cutting wonderboard tomorrow for the new tile floor. the vinyl flooring was ruined but the subfloor is still solid. the garage is under that room. the ceiling drywall got ruined down there so it got removed. that made it convenient to inspect the flooring from underneath. after that bathroom is finished im going to tile the floor in the master bathroom too. there isnt any water damage in there but i want to pull up the vinyl to fix the squeaks. im also going to install wainscoting in the master bath but i dont want to put it up until the floor is done. i stripped the wallpaper and painted the upper 2/3 of those walls a couple of weeks ago. the master bedroom is getting new carpet as well as the hallway. im installing laminate flooring in the dining room and living room. all of that should keep me busy for a while. ive been looking at job openings but i want to get my house in order before starting somewhere full time. careful how much you make. mine puts alimit on it. i retired from the navy. i keep the pension no matter how much i make. maybe ill buy a snap-on franchise.... -- ken .

ive been going back and forth over this for some time. we spent the entire morning going over expenses. my pension will be adaquate but my wife is 10 years younger so medical insurance becomes a issue. living here in ma is a expensive deal. been looking hard at fla. as i have a brother/siter in law there. seems i could sell this house and buy one the same size and put about 150k in my pocket. already found id save about1k on auto and homeowners insurance. now to get some figures on taxs and the like. one phone calll to my organized sister in law should provide the rest of the info. now to get my wife a job teaching there. what part of florida around palm coast. about 30 miles north of daytona teaching positions always seem to be in demand. she shouldnt have any trouble as long as there are no extra requirements for teaching in that state. talked to sis in law she says teaching job are around. also found out the property tax is up there as well. everything else seems to be less costly auto insurance utilities municipal services. also it is warm. gotta see what develops though over the next year. thinking about driveing down there for a couple of weeks in july to try and get a better feel for things. i have some home repairs to finish then im going to get serious about another job. i had a water line break in my upstairs bathroom and it did quite a bit of damage. water damage is a bitch but repairable drywall and kilz or bin my insurance company sent out a crew to dry the house out right away. they had dehumidifiers and fans running for about a week. they drilled holes in the walls under the baseboard so they could get hoses blowing air into them. all the wet insulation and carpeting got removed right away so there wont be a mold problem later. i stripped the wallpaper in the bathroom on saturday and there isnt any drywall damage there. i think the wallpaper saved it. i did prime the walls with kilz so i wouldnt have a problem with the paint not sticking to the remaining trace amount of wallpaper adhesive. i painted that bathroom yesterday and laid out a floor template today. i start cutting wonderboard tomorrow for the new tile floor. the vinyl flooring was ruined but the subfloor is still solid. the garage is under that room. the ceiling drywall got ruined down there so it got removed. that made it convenient to inspect the flooring from underneath. after that bathroom is finished im going to tile the floor in the master bathroom too. there isnt any water damage in there but i want to pull up the vinyl to fix the squeaks. im also going to install wainscoting in the master bath but i dont want to put it up until the floor is done. i stripped the wallpaper and painted the upper 2/3 of those walls a couple of weeks ago. the master bedroom is getting new carpet as well as the hallway. im installing laminate flooring in the dining room and living room. all of that should keep me busy for a while. sounds like you have a full plate for a bit. ive been looking at job openings but i want to get my house in order before starting somewhere full time. careful how much you make. mine puts alimit on it. i retired from the navy. i keep the pension no matter how much i make. thats another thing i have to look at. ive the grey id card so any military installation in the area is a plus. maybe ill buy a snap-on franchise.... had to go there didnt ya!vbg roy ken .

cuts like new. the hammer head has gone thru 4 handles and was lost for three years in the factory and i caught a set-up man at the muffler factory pulling on the dogbone with a four foot cheater and it hasnt broken. i made my living for ten years repairing forklifts and factory machinery with craftsman tools most of which i still have. the tool that are gone were sold to pay off some debts from a divorce or i would still have them. i continue to make my living repairing locomotives as i have for 34 years with snap on tools. oh there are some cromwell thrown it as well. your choice of course. just please dont slam the tools that thousands buy because they cant afford or dont like the ones you like. who slammed anything what the fuck is with you anyway why dont you stick to what is written rather than putting your spin on it. i did. you worded your sentence to read like craftsman tools were not good. since you cant put inflection or emotion into the words sometimes the intended meaning is misplaced. thats why my sentences sometimes read a little different. i try to be exact with the meanings. guess what roy ive seen many snap-on tools break under load and i have a close friend that calls them snap-off tools and refuses to buy them because they break. gee budd i havent had that experience. then youre one of a few from my experience. ive got one snap-on flat blade 1/4 x 8 screwdriver. its dull it slips out and the hardening wore off many years ago and wont stay sharp any more. i use it for a light duty pry. ive found it bad practice to pry however light with a screw driver. agreed but its no longer any good as a screwdriver or did you miss that also i have had a spline drive extension crack a couple of splines. they replaced it. good. theyre not perfect. none of them are. so why pay so much for imperfection ya want a pefect tool grab a rock theyre free and the warrantys good anywhere in the world. a few months ago i had to replace a 6 1/2 drive extension and my 1/2 drive 1 socket both from craftsman. i happened to be in grand junction co with the wife doing some shopping at wal-mart so we swung by the sears yes its the closest one to moab.. the socket was 30 years old and the extension a mere 27 years old and they replaced them without question. they honored their life-time warranty. they do honor their warranty. yep and ive had friends that had snap-on refuse to honor a warranty claims on broken tools. cant comment on that as i havent seen the tool nor know how it was used. but if you say so. roy im not in the habit of lying and my friends consider me to be too honest for my own good for what its worth. budd nobody said or implied that you were lying. im done. roy in this group especially the past three years or so when someone has used the words if you say so or variants on the phrase the implication most of the time has been that i was not being truthful and/or believable. if the words i read are in a phrasing i find offensive then i have the right to be offended. ok youre done im done and the thread is done. *** free account sponsored by secureix.com *** *** encrypt your internet usage with a free vpn account from http//www.secureix.com *** . 222 313166 43faa976$0$17703$6d36acad@titian.nntpserver.com so what have you got planned for the future -- budd cochran romans 323 romans 623 john 316-17 ephesians 28-9 ken where did you serve my eldest son was in the navy at jax nas in the hs-7 squadron on board the truman until a couple years ago. i remember talking to you about bryon when i was going to be on the truman in 2002 for fleet week. my career was a bit strange. i did 20 years of active duty with the reserves. that whole time i only saw two foreign countries and i drove to both of them on leave. i did travel a bunch here though. ive been in 48 of the 50 states never been to idaho or oregon. during my sea duty periods i spent more time on detachments than most regular navy spend at sea. i know that isnt exactly the same but sure is alot of time away from home. for permanent duty stations ive been in virginia beach va vc-12 willow grove pa station fort worth tx station atlanta ga vfa-203 back to fort worth tx vfa-201. ive worked on a-4s for 5 years ran two cryogenic chemical facilities for 8 years and worked on f/a-18s for 7 years. i retired from fort worth and moved back to atlanta in november. my retirement was official on the first of this month. -- ken *** free account sponsored by secureix.com *** *** encrypt your internet usage with a free vpn account from http//www.secureix.com *** .
