Q: im saving your post to disk for future reference. most people want to raise their vehicle but a few of us want to go the right direction vbg thanks! budd william oconnor wrote ive never found any drop spindles but you might try iirc they make a lower control arm that will drop your truck 2-3. also i think you can swap d-100 front springs for your heavier d-150 springs and use a 3 axle flip kit on the rear. d-100 rear leaf springs will fit if your stock springs have the 7/16 5/8 hex mounting bolts. budd thanks for the info budd. thought id post the following information for anyone else looking to lower their pre-94 dodge ram. truck suspension lift kit store http//www.tsliftkitstore.com/default.asp tel 800-775-7150 fax 480-668-5442 dropped lower control arms they didnt specify the amount of drop but i suspect its the 2-3 range you posted 1974 - 1993 dodge ram 150 $259.00 usd sku# car-do7493-1 6 rear axel flip kit 1974 - 1993 dodge ram 150 $179.00 usd sku# fli-do7493 standard spring if these guys cant make it it cant be made http//www.springmaker.com tel 800-356-3897 fax 612-379-0074 bill .

neil nelson wrote i think the obd2 3.0 liter mitsubishis are susceptible to carbon caked intake valves causing missfire codes. it might be worthwhile to have the intake removed and the valves and runners walnut shell blasted like iirc was necessary on some of the european imports bmw a few years ago. thanks for the response. i have heard that this was a problem from others. is there any possibility that some additive might fix this problem without removing the intake manifold again. i am surprised that the dealer did not mention this option. i guess they thought we needed a new engine sigh. regards ed white .

on mon 14 jul 2003 194332 -0500 mike simmons mikesim@fidnet.com wrote glad youre ok mike... any update on your son well the score is now simmons 1 deer 0! on the way to the shop this am at about 520 a large doe decided to end it all. i was cooking along about 65 minding my own business btw when from out of nowhere she leapt into the path of my new ram. wham! i saw her cartwheel across the left lane and into the median and as i continued on looking in my rear view mirror she did about 20 revolutions before coming to a halt in the grass. i continued on for about two miles to the shop and pulled into the parking lot and inspected the ram. amidst a puddle of power steering fluid i saw the grille front fascia bumperleft front fender and headlight smashed. when i raised the hood i saw the remains of the condenser intercooler and trans cooler along with the bottom half of the ps pump that was missing. i havent got the estimate from our body shop yet but i reckon it will be at least $3-$4k to put the ol ram back into fighting condition. damned deer! ^ mike .

mike simmons wrote they tell him that the nerves regenerate very slowly something on the order of 1/10th of an inch per month which could mean several years before he gets feeling back in the numb fingers. i always thought that once a nerve was cut or damaged it was done for but i found that is not true through personal experience. a few years back the front fork of my bike broke off and i took a tumble resulting in 15 stitches to the side of my head just above the left eye. it took a day or two for me to note that i could no longer raise my left eye brow! pretty freaky looking character when only one eyebrow is in working order. makes for a sort of leering effect. best not to look too long at any woman in such a condition or you might get arrested for harassment! anyways sure enough about 3 or 4 months later my left eyebrow came back on line! the cut nerve grew back together and i can now stare at beautiful or ugly women and not look like bela lugosi doing a number on his next vampires victim. the body is truly a remarkable machine! smh .

glad i dont live in la then! i also remember the term hodad being used in a beach boys christmas song. part of the verse was all the hodads and grimmies. must have been a reference to surfer dudes. hd here in la a hodad is a dad with a family of hoes ;- now now ignorant one. a hodad is a tool used to fight wildfires in the forest. hd .

its national on nps pbs radio. not very technical or informative but it is very funny. had a hard time keeping the dakota in a proper rut while offroading last sun laughing too hard never heard of it for those of you for the past 30 years have grown up listening to the car show on radio station kpfk - this morning they announced that their program is being taken off the air!!! this is the decision of two people the general manager of the station eva georgia - gm@kpfk.org and its program director armando gudino - agudino@kpfk.org. i hope everyone will take the time to write to these people and tell them not to remove a program that has become a part of the truck and automobile culture of california. after 30 years theyve become a part of southern californias history. dont let it die away. please write them asap. sincerely robert jensen .

my brother in law uses his 95 dodge diesel to deliver travel trailers. it now has 800000 miles on it. he didnt pull the head until 614000 miles. find a good used dodge diesel. ive got 121000 on my 98 what kind of tranny does he have is it a 2500 or 3500 i with no major problems. gordon wrote hello there... well the fateful day is fast approaching. you all know i have that old beatup 87 ford ranger 4x4 hey its old dinged scratched - but it has character!... my old ranger has 139000 miles automatic tranny is messing up its got a hole in the muffler the a/c unit hasnt worked in 6-7 you know i myself never use the a/c. years and just now it developed a hairline stress fracture in the right side front brake rotor. i refuse to pay $300+ bucks to get new brake rotors - because its a 4x4 and the labor is a killer. to get new brake rotors should cost you about $60. you can replace them yourself in less than an hour. i replaced brake pads and took rotors for turning $10 apiece and then put them back took me a little more than an hour of work but it was about -5degrees f in the garage. in summer it should be easier. anyway i desperately need a new pickup truck and one with power to tow my boat with. i absolutely refuse to get a new truck. i mean i wont even look at a 2003 chevy ford dodge at around $35000 only to drive it off the dealer lot and have it worth $28000 or thereabouts. my wife and i have a 99 gmc jimmy 4x4 which is really nice but doesnt have a trailer hitch for the boat. easy to install at any dealer... not expensive also... i have a dodge ram truck and i plan to drive it until it dies more or less... i .

thanks for the thought bro. but im ahead of ya on this one. sue for years would set up a deal at the hyatt on capital hill in dc for the weekend. i know it is a little out of the way for you. check in fri afternoon and check out sunday. think it was $150.00 for the deal. i havent gone down there in the past couple of years but i highly recommend it.you can spend forever in the smithsonian. also a chance to stop at the wall and talk to some bros. with mom with us now and the construction bs it is a little difficult to pull off. day trips are going to have to be it for a while. going to try to work a deal with my sister in law to do a couple of overnights so we can split for a weekend or better later this year i hope. roy smithsonian we never left the room bro!! .

93 5.2l dak 130k orig tranny shift great.. change fluid every 25k... and towing pkg cooler.. i only added a can of shutter guard to smooth out the shifts.. i believe the heavier full sized trucks are much tougher on these trannies.. fyi jer on thu 17 jul 2003 190515 -0500 camand@gulftel.com wrote mine went out after 43580 miles. 2001 318 auto ram right at about $1600 to fix it bk on wed 16 jul 2003 191242 -0500 dale simpson daleandlaura@charter.net wrote i just bought a 98 dakota and when my neighbor saw ithe is also a dodge owner he said i hope you have a spare couple of grand because you are gonna have to replace that tranny. is there even a grain of truth to his assertion that all dodge trucks have substandard transmissions i looked the truck up on some kind of consumer reporting website before i bought it and they said that it was a pretty much trouble free truck. please tell me that my tranny isnt destined to fail! the only other dodge i have ever owned is a 84 ram charger and i loved that truck with that big ole 360 and extra large tires wish i still had it but the mileage sucked and i travel a lot for work. any input from this group of dodge lovers will be greatly appreciated! dale simpson .
