ok looks like ive got a leftover ram 3500 srw quad cab short bed laramie edition lined up at the dealer for 33k. its really 23k plus my truck but 10k is a trade im ok with. so any opinions considering its now a last years model thats been on the lot for 6 months i figured getting the thing at invoice plus a good trade in on my 2000 tacoma v6 prerunner was a decent deal. i was more interested in getting a 5.9 cummins however misguided that may be. theres currently a $3500 rebate on the leftover 06s that ends tonight. im thinking they cant just do away with the rebates on the leftovers but more than likely will increase them. ive never bought a new us auto before so the ins and outs of it all are a bit new to me. thanks for any input. im due to go in tonight and make the deal. bb .

suddenly without warning budd cochran exclaimed 30-oct-06 1149 pm suddenly without warning budd cochran exclaimed 29-oct-06 1043 pm opinion i cant help with the truck but for explanation of the aboriginal situation their status is akin to that of the native american amerind in that theyve been mistreated over-run subjugated to the point of losing their collective sense of worth by the invaders of their homeland the white man. they certainly were treated poorly in the past but most of their problems today are self-inflicted or a problem of individuals. show me a *current* law in either country that subjugates either peoples. show a law that subjugates how about the fact the us government still advocates by law the continuance of the reservations the financial subsidy of the amerinds and the lack of educational facilities both scholastic and technical readily available to them as compared to whites. give them a fish and they eat today teach to fish and they eat everday to paraphrase the chinese proverb. living in the southwest us i meet many native americans and have met over the years a few aboriginals that escaped the oppression. in both peoples they just want to live their lives in peace and harmony with their neighbors as equals. well duh. of course. nothing stopping them really if theyre willing to work at it. plenty of aboriginals are still here either on a station leading a traditional or pastoral ranching life or living in town integrated into the modern world. if they are willing to work at it . . . why does the subjugated always have to work at getting along with the opressors interestingly the liberals of both nations and britain tend to overlook the rights of the native peoples. actually its a good bit more complicated than that. the law supports aboriginals - over-supports them often due to legal aid - but certainly the history of what white australians did to the aboriginal is worse than what happened in the us. no its just the the superior species of man throwing its weight around. i dont even know what you mean by that. whites throwing their weight around by making sure aboriginals that commit crimes get off are throwing their weight around to you this should be a good thing you seem to support reverse discrimination. no i support true equality everyone living together in harmony respecting one another for who they are what they believe and how they live. imho reverse discrimination is setting quotas for hiring the unqualified over the qualified regardless of ethnic divisions i believe in one blood one human race. no one should not be punished for a crime in any society because of ethnicity. but many of individuals woes they brought on themselves - plenty of aboriginals have managed to stay out of the bottle and make good lives for themselves. but as with the american indian too many have decided to hide in a bottle and live off the govt rather than take the harder road of overcoming history and becoming something more. when you destroy a groups collective soul dont be surprised if it hides in a bottle. tell a man hes worthless enough times and hell become worthless. the same is true of the amerinds and the abos as groups. thats the biggest damn copout ive ever heard. i do not consider this a valid excuse. i myself grew up verbally and emotionally abused - being told by my father that i was worthless and believed it for a time. never did i fall into a bottle. i just slowly picked up the shattered pieces of my self esteemed and proved the bugger wrong! you think youre alone in that i was a polio survivor 1952 epidemic that was constantly reminded that because of the polio i should not have survived would have been better off if i hadnt survived would never amount to anything have any strength endurance or learn to ride a bike rollerskate or play sports and that was just the doctors. add to that the fact that what some are saying about me in this group is complimentary compared to what some family members have said when i was a child stir with being raised by bigots and bake in a ghetto. i grew up to be the strongest person physically and emotionally and now i believe im strong spiritually. not everyone can pick themselves up like you and i. not everyone can resist the presuure to dive in a bottle because of how another ethnic group treats you. and dening those facts is an insult to those trapped and dying. my source i was trained as a race relations non-commisioned offcer sergeant in the military. plenty of aboriginals and american indians have done the same and continue to do so. to say theyre justified in falling into a bottle is really doing them a disservice. abo by the way is a pejorative much like the n word for african-americans. my apologies to them. funny how much it is used by aboriginals in the austrailian movies . . .you dont hear the o

suddenly without warning mike simmons exclaimed 31-oct-06 1039 am i am kind of curious about the degradation of threads recently. it seems that christian bashing has become somewhat of a sport lately in the group. i for one am an unashamed christian perhaps not as vocal as budd but a christian nonetheless. what useful purpose are we accomplishing when we bait those of faith just because you are unfaithed does not give you a license to criticize those who are of faith. conversely we christians should not be overzealous in our evangelism towards the unfaithful. the cup is there for those who wish to partake. i would just recommend that we all conduct ourselves as gentlemen and women regardless of our religious persuasion. mike im still trying to figure out how bud got christian bashing out of that post. me too! but im with you in this. i think insulting ones religion belief system or lack thereof is pointless since i doubt very many people have switched religions due to some argument - or even reasoned conversation - they had on usenet. or anywhere else for that matter somebody please point out where a persons beliefs were insulted.

really thats not what i keep hearing from the dine the cherokee the ute lakota. maybe the gambling is the way they found they can finally win against the white man and hit him where it hurts the most his wallet. -- budd cochran john 316-17 ephesians 28-9 romans 323 623 our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. it is wholly inadequate for the government of any other. john adams budd cochran wrote she and i discussed the drinking problem and we agreed it was because the american indian is in many ways still a second class citizen still under government subjugation. and they need to be taught to live without subsidy taught they are of worth and the reservations need to be disbanded. the tribes fight being weaned off of support and towards self reliance. their main attempt is through gambling rather than a more substantial economic infrastructure. failure to wean themselves causes oppression. -- posted via a free usenet account from http//www.tera.com .

budd cochran wrote that sounds more like a engine balance mismatch. a 318 is internally balanced and a 360 is externally balanced. a 360 trans on a 318 or vice versa will shake like mad. in both cases the right converter fixes the problem. well i dont think its a balance problem like youre describing. to make a long story short the van was basically stolen from me at one point and for about a year and a half i believed that it had been sent to the crusher--until dad saw it driving down the road. apparently the people who told him not me that it was unfixable hardly anything is unfixable fixed it 2 weeks later and ran it with illegal tags for that year and a half delivering carpet. i dont know if they did something to it once they realized that they were about to return it. i do know that after it was returned to me it was in many ways the old worn out dodge van that i knew and loved but soon after started having a strange issue where something would make a good bit of noise when just maintaining speed but not under load or while deccelerating. someone suggested to me that they make have put something in the oil or the gas tank to cause quicker-than-normal deterioration of the engine. someone else listened and said it sounded like the main bearings. i do know that when i did get it running that last time it idled *ok* after a very lengthy warmup on a very hot alabama day. it revved smoothly without noise when in park. the heavy-duty vibration only occured when moving in gear and it was there regardless of whether or not i was accelerating or coasting down a hill. why be miffed the squirrel had excellent taste and chose the best highest quality storage place he could find. youve obviously got a five acorn air cleaner there friend. lol...well he mustve thought so. i thought otherwise once i saw how the flapper in the intake tube had rusted open and the linkage connected to it was mia. it just made it easier for him to get in! better give that carb a good soaking and rebuild it or buy a rebuilt because that could be some of the vibration also. that carb was toast in 93 when i started driving the van. i think its beyond a good soaking. the choke was shot about 200k miles ago ;- i would like to rebuild it just because... but if i manage to get the van mobile enough to move a few miles ill probably do so with a temporary carb until i can find a more permanent workspace for it. jp .
