n but it will your wallet. steve as some of you know im a 2001 dakota owner who is currently stationed overseas. the base just upgraded the gas station and in their infinite wisdom now only offer 95 octane gas. my owners manual says my engine could be damaged if i use high octane. will it really if this can indeed damage my engine id like to know how and if theres any way additives id be able to use this gas. otherwise i have to use more expensive options which may include paying the current $6.50 per gallon which is what we pay here with the currently high exchange rate. thanks for any advice! jmc .

on tue 7 jun 2005 141911 -0600 nathan w. collier montanajeeper@aol.com wrote i got my prodigy installed and it seems to be stopping the trailer just fine but im unsure of the adjustments. the video said to slide the manual lever all the way to the left and adjust the setting to 6.0 volts and then adjust as needed to get the wheels just before lock up. well i dont know how to tell when im just before lock up. i do feel a slight push when im stopping. not bad but slight. also do i need to reset this as my load changes i just cant see how 6 volts would provide the same stopping power at 3000 pounds as it would at 10000 pounds. thanks its a personal thing but id rather have a slight pull when i step on the brake.. thats the trailer slowing the truck down... i just adjusted it so that it felt natural when slowing and stopping and left it alone... you might adjust for a heavy load in your case but trial and error is the only way to really get it set up.. mac please remove splinters before emailing .

maybe a bit my experience with the sentinel has been to adjust it just short of wheel-hop when unloaded and activating it manually no braking in towing vehicle than add just a tad more for lite loads and a couple of tads for heavy loads youll get the hang of it very fast it becomes automatic after a few days nah...not unloaded but wont i need to readjust after the trailer is loaded -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

there will be an online continuing education seminar on wednesday night entitled the fundamentals of sarcasm satire and humor in the online world. several of you are encouraged to attend. will we be discussing such terms as pay @ the pump 13 quarts of what!! and what fuel filter -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

why dont you just disconnect the fuel pump and let the injectors operate normally. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving dodge durango 99 5.9l converted to run on lpg single point. when running on lpg injectors are disconnected to prevent them from working or rather the common positive lead is routed thru resistor so that voltage drop on injectors is insufficient for them to operate and naturally pcm complains about open injector circuits. alldata is pretty vague about p0201-p0208 codes and only says if induction kick is not detected pcm will set the code. apparently it checks not just for correct resistance but also for the inductive kick. anybody knows how to properly emulate injectors on this engine peter .

got two problems with my 02 1500 ram 4x4 5.9l the automatic transmission takes forever to get to overdrive if it ever does. it also doesnt drop into drive and reverse reliably. indicator says d or r and its really in neutral is there an easy adjustment to fix this or am i going to have to have the dealer look at it about once every 3 months or so the check engine light comes on. i pull the fuse for the ecm effectively re-booting the truck for a few seconds and replace and the light goes out for a few more months. any ideas is there a magic procedure to get it to flash diagnostic codes so i can tell if its serious before i plug it into the dealer$ expen$ive diagno$tic computer thanks. dave .

a short block is just the block and its internal components pistons connecting rods crank but does not include the cam pushrods heads intake ... short block will generally include the cam and lifters. any that do not are better left in favor of those that do. i guess that depends on stock or performance. a basic stock short block may come with a cam but not a performance one. if you were going stock why would you use a short block anyway several reasons bad rod excessive ring wear broken crank anywhere else use a long block; the extra dollars wil be saved on not having to re-do the heads .

was under the dash on my 04 2500 yesterday. there are three connectors grouped together on the left side of the steering column. one is next to the parking brake release. above it is the connector for the trailer brake controller. between them is another connector. has a lot of small gauge wires going to it and a plastic cover over it. anyone know what it is any on line wiring diagrams for an 04 al .

on tue 31 may 2005 170809 gmt tbone t-bonenospam@nc.rr.com wrote snip i ran pvc pipe from the sink in the garage to the spa and top it off a lot... over flow it for 10 or 15 minutes with hot in winter and cold in summer we use it year round 102 in winter 70 in summer why do you drop it so low in the summer i used to lower the temp in the summer as well but only down to 98 from 101 in the winter. it really is amazing how much of a difference a few degrees make. well the pool is usually about 80 to 88 degrees unless we drain and fill it weekly... the 100+ degree days just over heat it... its nice to just sit in cooler water in the spa and cool off.. i checked with my wife she said that it was set at 78 last summer oh yea i forgot where you live. it still seems strange to get in the spa to cool off lol. when folks get into the tub they displace water and it over flows... you top it off later and the water stays pretty fresh and you dont have that toxic smell from all the expensive chemicals.. ymmv that is the advantage of a larger spa it isnt so easy to overflow it but as you said they do cost more to run and maintain. yeah we figure that at a little over 300 gallons we can drain it onto the lawn if we have to and refill it in a day and the grass has to be watered anyway.. that is what i used to do with mine 4 times a year although at 450 gallons it took a while to drain it. if i started early enough in the morning i could get it drained cleaned refilled and back up to temp in time to use it before going to bed. i never heard of a propane heated unit like you were talking to roy about. they may just not be available in the north east due to the cold winters. i must say that i miss mine now that i moved and am looking foward to getting a new one hopefully by the fall. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

i have an 80 dodge d50 with the 2.0 liter engine. when i turn on the key i have power but when i crank i get nothing but a single click. then everything goes dead. if i remove the negative battery cable and bump it a couple of times on the terminal i hear it arc and then i can replace it and have power again. but everytime i try to crank the truck it shuts down all the power. the cranking problem has been occuring for about a month now but only once or twice before the truck starts normally. but it never lost power before today and never didnt start before today. any ideas as to what could be the problem .

owners manuals and car dealer insist on 5000 miles or as in canada 8000 kms. or six months - whichever comes first. i had mine analyzed after using it for 13000 kms and seven months and the report showed that it was still ok. .
