my 04 hemi quad cab 4x4 is averaging 9-10 miles around town at best and not a heck of alot more on the highway. i have modified it as follows. k&n cold air intake system gibson dual extreme exhaust system. tonneau cover. i did add a set of bfg all terrain ta/ko tires. the tires are 265 size up from 245 70/17 i think about an inch taller and inch wider. i dont go peeling out at lights or really pushing it. is this common or should i be checking something truck has about 35k on the speedo. its a beautiful truck but gas mileage sucks big time. on my ram 5.2 magnum 4x4 it has the first two that you did and then added the mopar performance computer you may already have this on the hemi spacer on the intake and an msd ignition system. milage went from 12 to 17.5 if you are easy on the accelerator. i also have slightly larger tires as you do and my speeds are raised by about 5mph at 70. at 70mph i am actually doing 75mph so actual milage might be slightly higher. i doubt you will see as large an increase with the hemi as i did with the 318 but it may help some. i did add a shift kit to the od tranny at about 170000 miles when it needed a rebuild damn those dodge trannies just dont last....- and it now has close to 175000 miles on it and it still runs like new with oil pressure at 40-50lbs and no oil usage between changes every 3000mi or so. the modifications were done at around 50000mi or thereabout. ed . 222 338246 a5-dnxuuim9weljbnz2dnuvzternz2d@comcast.com the good folks at the local dodge dealership foss motors in exeternh reset the computer for the new tires. at a cost of $40-50.00 im getting my info from the overhead computer. the truck runs good and has plenty of power. does anyone know if the computer they use to reset the trucks computer is the same one that other garages have or is it a propriety system that only dodge has for dodge vehicles. he plugged it in under the dash. ill also check for info at www.dodgetruckworld. im a member of the nh chapter. thanks hpage3 howard page wrote my 04 hemi quad cab 4x4 is averaging 9-10 miles around town at best and not a heck of alot more on the highway. i have modified it as follows. k&n cold air intake system gibson dual extreme exhaust system. tonneau cover. i did add a set of bfg all terrain ta/ko tires. the tires are 265 size up from 245 70/17 i think about an inch taller and inch wider. i dont go peeling out at lights or really pushing it. is this common or should i be checking something truck has about 35k on the speedo. its a beautiful truck but gas mileage sucks big time. if your tires are an inch taller than stock you are travelling farther than what the odometer says and faster than what the speedometer says. your mileage probably isnt quite as bad as you think. -- ken .

to worry about paying a tax on their income..... lets make the big bucks. i also am unaware of many companies either big or small that dont buy anything. if they buy goods or services then they are going to have to pay that same 30% sales tax and trust me they will not eat that added cost they will pass it onto the customer by maintaining or increasing prices and if they make a little extra doing it..... all this system would do is pass the major costs onto those who could afford it the least. people who currently dont pay taxes becuase they are below the poverty level and spend every penny that they earn just to stay alive will now be paying a 30% tax on every penny that they make while those who are making millions will be paying damn near next to nothing because most of them only spend a small portion of what they make. the best part of this system will be that the irs can be reassigned from harassing people who are working to live the american way and put them to the task of using those same skills to ferret out terrorists and other dangers to society. that will simply not happen. how would you deal with the stock or commodies markets there is no way that they could tax based on purchase price becuae if they did nobody would buy them so at lest this much would still need to be taxed on income or profit and someone will need to be there to keep track of it. whoa! i got really off topic there didnt i lol which tends to be the norm in this group which helps to keep it interesting. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

mac davis wrote they didnt get cash bro... they took over payments on a house thats worth over $20k less than the loans on it... anyone who bought a home in 2005 is probably upside down on it now. during that time houses in many areas were highly inflated. several homes similar to mine sold in 2005 for $310k which was up considerably from 2004 when they went for $260k. this year its closer to $250k but has held steady. to me houses are priced about where they should be. 2005 saw incredibly over inflated prices which could not be sustained. i paid $90k for my house in 1992. i cant complain. i looked at a house last year 2006 that was on the 2005 tax rolls @ $217000 but the asking price was $359000.00 it was an estate deal husband had died and the widow was moving away. i thought the asking price was nuts and didnt bother to make an offer. it was probably worth somewhere in the middle of the two numbers but it was a 1973 model and needed some updates and repairs the $10000 allowance for carpet and paint she was offering would have been a nice start. im really glad now we passed on it. .

z88z wrote not sure if the title was the best way to phrase that looking for a close ratio 3500 for a swap into my 98 5.9 zj jeep. the closest ratio nv3500s are the 3500hd and the ram 2500ld 2wd 3500 the regular nv3500 in the ram 4wd 1500s is wider than those tw applications pretty sure there are compatibility issues with the hd trans. believe it will not fit the 5.9 magnum style motors. i know som people say they are behind 5.2s in rams but other people includin new venture say they are not. like all the info i get for every good answer on one forum ther is someone on another forum or another reply that contradicts it so heres the deal i know the nv3500 has the integral bellhousing and splits in th middle for rebuilding. would it be possible to split the 3500hd an put it back together with the front section from a 3500 that came of a 5.2 motor how much of a 2wd 3500 would have to be swapped to use it with 4wd tailshaft housing i found a pic of the 3500 here http//www.motivegear.com/techinfo/trannyguide/trannyguide.html it shows the 3500 tailshaft housing is the whole back half so i asking the same thing but wondering if the back half or a 4wd 350 will mate with the internals and front half of the 2wd close rati 3500. also wondering if the 3500 hd internals can go into the 3500 4w halves seems like it should but you never know still going two steps forward one step back on this swap info! every time i learn more i learn this is also more to learn - max - your 5.2/5.9 trans an flywheel info agrees with what i have except for the hd trans part what b9f0a0c5272tbone/b9f0a0c5272 wrote is correct as far as m research shows. the nv3500 and the 3500hd are entirely differen animals. the hd was only behind the 4.0 straight 6 cyl i think which has a different bellhousing bolt pattern. evidently som people think they have hds behind their 5.2s but according to on post new venture themselves said this was never an option according to this site there are actually three 3500 models http//dodgeram.org/tech/transmission/nv3500spec.htm the regula 3500 4wd the 3500hd and a 2wd 3500 that isnt the hd but ha closer ratios than the other 3500 the 3500 from say a 5.2 4wd ram has a wider ratio first gear ratio o 4.01. the 3500hd from a 4.0 jeep not sure which dodge and the 350 2wd from a ram 2500 light duty have a close ratio 3.49 first. that the main reason im staying away from the nv4500. first is 5.61! there is also a size issue that can involve cutting when using th 4500. darn shame as its considered more reliable than the 35x series so the 1st gear ratio i want is not available in a 3500 tran body that i can use. hence im looking to see if th case halves and/or internals are interchangeable i think the safest bet is to contact new venture myself. i don think anybody else would have this info with the exception of someon that rebuilds trannys for a living as far as the gear ratios im not really sure what you mean unles you are talking about the 4wd output shaft maybe not matching the 2w internals. other than that if i swap all the internals it won matter. the gears themselves are what im after. the only issue is matching the output shaft splines to the tcas input but that shouldnt be too hard. the hd was 4wd so that wil work. if i go the other way and use the 4wd back half and outpu shaft i can use the tcase that came with that trans i would also have to use a clutch disc that matches the hd inpu shaft under a pressure plate that fits the problem would be if there were different mountings for th internals or radically different lengths now.. i may end up going with the 5.2 4wd nv3500 anyway if the othe stuff gets too crazy or isnt do-able. that 4.01 ratio isnt reall a deal breaker id just prefer the 3.49 im mainly trying to find out any or all options available. n matter what i finally end up doing i want to at least be able t discuss it intelligently if i run across anyone wanting info aboutthe same swap. this info wasnt that easy to get. on the jeep forums i only raninto one swap into a v8 zj jeep for the street use and two built foroffroad use.b9f0a0c5272tbone/b9f0a0c5272 - not sure if maybe max is basinghis info 5.9s not available with 5spds some years on some of thesame stuff i ran across checking out pcm prices on different autoparts sites i almost came to the same conclusion re no 5.9 5spd someyears.certain sources didnt show some 5spd parts like pcms for - iirc -97/98 or 98/99 5.9s. i got so confused i called a local chryslerdealer and had the parts dept check they confirmed there was a 985.9 5spd available.thanks again folks - john .
