the only thing some of you people are interested in here is just another stupid pissing thread with as usual max leading the charge. grow up............ indeed grow up jerry. as usual you among others overstate the amount that i post on this group. secondly i posted in reply to someone who obviously had no idea of how things might actually be. third nate has genuine concerns and whether you believe them to be logical or not its clear your reply just making a mountain out of a molehill was meant to stir things up not help him with his concerns. if you are going to bitch at somone for behaving a certain way its best to be sure you dont do exactly what you are complaining about. -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. jph wrote they may have been going 35 at the time they applied their brakes but it sure doesnt look like the damage to your vehicle was caused by a vehicle going 35 at the time of impact! did they write those estimates in their police report that would surprise me because they dont normally go to the expense and trouble of calculating estimated speed unless a fatality was involved. it takes a lot more to estimate speed than just measuring skid marks. for an actual assessment they need to weigh the load check the brakes on the tow vehicle and trailer measure the tread take tire samples check the air pressure in the tires check the air temperature humidity and check the friction quotient of the asphalt or driveway surface if they want it to hold up in court. they dont normally do that for fender-benders. youre absolutely correct. a unloaded 1/2 ton truck traveling 20 mph will skid approximately 25 feet in a panic stop. if this truck had a trailer hooked to it then skid marks will tell absolutely nothing as far as his actual speed. especially if he only had a few feet to skid anyways from a parking lot entrance into the traffic lane. tom pointed that out in his first post but decided to change his tune when it was time for lets fuck with tbone again. with my truck i have a dead spot on the passenger side from the side mirror and several times i have almost pulled out in front of someone when the timing was just right. it could be just what it is....... a accident and calling the other guy a moron when you dont really know the circumstances is stupid. the only thing some of you people are interested in here is just another stupid pissing thread with as usual max leading the charge. grow up............ jerry .

the truck is metal and can be fixed. the important thing here is that thirty years from now are you gonna be mad that you lost a couple of thousand on the truck or that your family didnt get hurt see but heres the deal. the family didnt get hurt - so thats out of the equation. now its just as if someone rammed his truck in a parking lot hey wait.... that did happen . his truck is messed up its someone elses fault and he has every right to be pissed. this notion that well as long as no one got hurt is bullshit. obviously if he had a choice let my family get hurt or destroy the truck its not even a question. that isnt the case. the two here arent mutually exclusive. i can understand exactly where hes coming from. its different if they were driving home and a wind storm blew a tree over that hit the truck. thats when you say well metal can be fixed - as long as youre all ok. thats an accident. it falls under the shit happens clause. the damage to his truck is a direct result of someone elses negligence. plain and simple. yes - nates fortunate that his family wasnt hurt.... the moron driving the other truck is even more fortunate. but like i said thats a closed issue. now its about fixing the damage and fixing it in such a way that it doesnt hurt him financially down the road. .

so........does anybody have any advice on how to handle the issue when you have the same insurance company yup get a lawyer. -- max give a man a match and he is warm for a short while. light him on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life. to make things even more interesting we learned today that the other driver has the same insurance company. different broker but same national company. this solidifies my need to get an attorney. if insurance company a were fighting for my best interests against insurance company b i would be more apt to trust them. since they would be fighting themselves in this case i know whos best interest is important to my insurance company and its not mine......its their own. so........does anybody have any advice on how to handle the issue when you have the same insurance company thanks -- nathan w. collier http//utilityoffroad.com http//inlinediesel.com http//7slotgrille.com http//bighornrefrigeration.com .

bandpass filters are used in many r.f. systems to isolate and/or restrict interference. back in the 70s we could get am/fm/cb radio antennas for our vehicles that had pretty large filters to prevent the cb from overdriving the detector / first amp stages of your am radio. but they often failed when some clown would drive a kilowatt thru them instead of the legal 4 watts of cb output. budd aka canon city boogieman kbh-4658 .

fclaugus wrote it was in 98 that clinton sent cruise misles into iraq and claimed to have damaged weapons of mass destruction. many wmds were damaged or destroyed in that attack. however the un inspectors at the time found intact wmds. they inventoried tagged and put seals on the buildings. when they returned several years later those seals were broken and the wmds gone. in saddams un ordered declaration of his wmds and wmd related programs no mention of these wmds were made. not a word. they existed. we cant say they no longer exist simply because they havent been found. they do exist somewhere. maybe saddam did destroy them but his word was worthless. .

but he is the only one that counts now. with the rest of this senseless riff-raff snipped with the exception of clinton not a damn one of the people you misquoted had the power to do anything and with the right wing spin created after 9/11 most of them had no choice but to spout this crap or risk being branded as a traitor. but even including clinton how many of our mes and women did he get killed in a useless war based on lies these are accurate quotes many date back before bush took office. and it also seems the democrats had no backbone if they were afraid of speaking the thruth which is they didnt want to send troops into iraq. furthermore most of congress voted to go to war and voted again to boost funding. i wish we were out of there as much as teh next guy but im not about to blame one person. .

in my 97 dodge ram van 2500 3.9l v-6 the symptom is that the van runs hot creeps up toward 3/4 on the gauge on the street and when pulling a hill naturally i live atop a large hill shoots toward the top of the gauge. the short-term fix has been to use the heater; at full blast the gauge usually stays at or below 1/2 until i get to my hill then stays at or below 3/4 until i get home. i run it at idle still with the heater full-blast until its about 1/2 on the gauge... then shut it off. i dont want to shot-gun troubleshoot but im not sure where the problem might be. at first i suspected the water pump but the van doesnt leak when cold only when the gauge is near the top. whats a good troubleshooting approach i plan to flush the radiator this weekend but dont have any confidence that flushing it will address the problem. and of course im broke... and a little put off by the idea of pulling all that front-end hardware to start swapping out thermostat water pump ... if it matters how could it i had a limited-slip differential installed since i live on a steep gravel road. this van is new to me ive had it about two months and its always exhibited this problem. btw thanks to the two of you who enlightend me that the ac *is* active when the defroster is active... to me this is my first vehicle with working ac! .

googles group program is ok but id rather run my groups thru o/e with a free server. ive tried to find one but some are not 24/7 remember how i used to be on at odd times of the day/night occasional insomnia and some do not allow posting so how do the posts get on there or other dumb restrictions. any suggestions guys uncensored is fine as ultimately you or i decide which groups to look at and im against censorship. thanks in adavance! budd unfortunately most of the free servers are worth pretty much what you are paying for them. many of the pay servers do have discount plans under $9 a month which appear to be worth the money. guy seems to be on the high end price wise per month at $9.95 but they do allow 15gb per month so if you download a lot of binaries it may be a way to go. super seems to have the best deals price wise with a text group only account for $4.95 a month and a 3gb per month full access account for a $5.95 per month. usenet-access offers a 2gb a day full access account for $6 a month so they really do offer the most bang for the buck but when you read the faq it appears that they may be geared more toward uploading questionable files. giga has their bronze account for $7.99 which is rated at 2gb a month and i used them for a while with that type of account when comcast dropped their servers and outsourced the service to them. i can say that they were fast and there retention rates are much higher than the crap i have now. either way good luck in your search and if you find a good free one let us know. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

thanks i will be checking with the dealer regarding the vin. i did see the bit in the manual regarding the second lock cylinder -- i dont know if a keyless may have been added at the dealer. assuming i dont have a remote keyless entry -- anyone have suggestions for a simple inexpensive aftermarket keyless entry that plugs in or doesnt require much wiring for the install .

budd cochran mr-d150@preciscom.net wrote in lets take a look joe . . . . the ethernet port on the pc is plugged into the cable modem the ethernet to cable modem thru bandpass filters is connected to the big silvery wire thingy on the big tall wooden fence post in the neighborss yard and then it goes out of sight in both directions but im told it goes to the company that supplies my cable tv precis communications up in price ut. so i have both cable and dsl and they come into my home on the same 75 ohm tv cable. what do i have if not cable dsl as advertised by precis budd budd both mac and miles answered your question correctly. you have cable. please indicate exactly what cable modem or cable company uses band pass filters. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

ever consider not lugging the engine i dont believe they were designed to be run that way. my 1500 will rumble some if i lug it down 5 spd manual so i try not to do that. the power band is somewhat high in my 4.7 and probably in your 3.7 also. hd my 6-speed manual trans. dakota makes a chattering- noise when the motor is lugging. the dealer confirmed the noise is there but does not know what is causing it. a similar truck on the dealers lot has the same noise only louder and therefore they conclude the noise is normal. a chrysler rep. told the dealer they are not aware of a problem. everyone who rides in my truck asks me what is wrong with the motor. i would like to hear from other 3.7 v6 owners who have or do not have noise like this. you can reach me off-list at jackf at earthlink dot com if you wish. thanks for your help. .
