OT: Cleaning a grill

From : jmc

Q: best way to keep it from building up in the first place is to use pam cooking spray on the grill before you light it. dont try to spray it while the grill is lit though it is dangerous. the crude comes off much easier after you have used the pam during the grilling. it dont keep it all off but it does keep it down quite a bit. ky ok im gonna do something really sexist as perhaps the only one in here with two x chromosomes g assume because this place is full of guys with trucks its also full of guys with grills im the griller in the family must be the same gene that makes me a geek girl who likes trucks. the grill part of my baby q is getting a bit grody. i dont really mind for now - i have my grill brush and grill stone and grill scrapers - but when i get ready to ship it itll need to be shiny clean. so id like to keep the layers of crud down a bit to make it easier when the time comes. what works best to clean a grill back down to something resembling its original unused cleanness thanks for any replies! hubbys off on a business trip. weather suddenly decided to get warm its still winter here - equivalent of late january- but it topped 80f today. consoled myself by cooking up these awesome marinated bbq chicken wings from the butcher down the street with a big ol portobello mushroom. next on the grill barramundi a really tasty deep-sea fish and corn-on-the-cob. if youre a grill lover emigrate to australia. you never have to worry about the weather and they love grilling so much that its part of the holidays. turkey for christmas nah! its summer here heats the house up too much. seafood on the barbie is the traditional xmas fare down here! jmc .

did she have a fuel pressure check done on it -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving my wife 2000 ram 4x4 with a 360. it will not start in wet weather. she has changed the cam sensor cap and rotor the crank position sensor was changed a year ago. ive suggested she try plugs and wires but she claims that they are good. dont ask how she knows any suggestions. she had a scan tool on it and said that told her to change the cam sensor but she doesnt know the specific codes anymore. .

tbone wrote if it were only the diesels i would agree with you but when you look at the complete list of ineligible vehicles it says something very different. which vehicles are you specifically referring to that are not included in the warranty program and have lower sales and/or higher repair incidents just about all of them with the possible exception of the diesel pus. the warranty excludes the srt diesel vehicles sprinter and ram chassis cabs and some fleet/utility vehicles. which is exactly my point. the srt ram chassis and all of the fleet vehicles are usually subject to far more wear and tear than the standard vehicle and some are simply subject to abuse. iirc the sprinter comes with a diesel which is why it is not included. the diesel trucks sell very well and have no need for increased incentives. same with the sprinter vans. they are selling like crazy. you are kidding right!!! i have yet to see a single sprinter on the road around here why would they not want to sell more of them as for the diesel trucks again why would they not want to sell more of them the fact is that its not that they dont want to sell more they dont want to pay the $$$$$$ to repair a diesel. the srts are limited

checked the starter and it works still. i tested the relay -- it how exactly did you check the starter is it the click of the relay youre hearing or the louder clunk of the solenoid on the starter if its the solenoid youre hearing then the only problems could be the positive cable from the battery to the starter or the starter itself. now - if youre just hearing the starter relay clicking and no action on the starter solenoid id check the small +12v wire to the solenoid and measure there for voltage when trying to crank. if you dont have any voltage there troubleshoot the wiring and/or starter relay. if you do have voltage there id suspect a bad solenoid. so im wondering if that little bit of voltage is telling the brain to not crank the engine. does this sound reasonable anyone else had this problem im not eager to go blow $75 on a switch and have it not work. i dont think youre looking at a bad switch. does everything else power up with the switch in the run position radio blower motor wipers etc. if if does you can leave the switch in the run position pull the starter relay and jumper the terminals in the relay socket that match up to the relay terminals labelled #30 and #87. this will energize the solenoid which should then energize the starter motor. if that works but i doubt it will since you said you hear something when turning the key to start but if it does you then either have a problem with the switch or a possible grounding problem. i chased a similar problem on a friends 98 that turned out to be a loose ground at the engine one of the power steering pump bolts provides a grounding location for the wiring harness. .

in a webcast announcement today tom lasorda announced that effective today all new 06 07 and 08 new chrysler vehicles sold at retail will be covered by a lifetime full powertrain warranty. diesels and srts are excluded. more details as they become available.... mike no diesels or srts there just might be a message there. roy .

more like they dont want to deal with the high rate of return knowing that these vehicles deal with much more abuse than the others and are far more likely to break down. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving roy wrote no diesels or srts there just might be a message there. manufactures increase warranties to increase sales. most likely they dont need the new warranty as an incentive for diesels and srts. .

woohoo how long is this going to last my wife just got hit head on in our town and country and i need to replace it. at 35k that will be added value! the old town and country took a 60+ mile per hour full front end hit wife was going 35 but the kid that hit her was doing 60+ all the damage was limited to the front end. knocked the engine backwards 30 inches drove the drivers side front wheel back a bit over 2 ft and trashed the tranny. the doors still open and close as well as they did before the accident! no encroachment on the passenger compartment at all! the wifes only injury was caused by the airbag which shattered the 5th metacarple in her left hand into 5 pieces. she required surgery to repair and will require 6 to 12 months of therapy after the cast comes off. i was very impressed with the way the van took the hit and will not go with another makers vehicle after this though i do think ill pull the plug on the airbag my wife is only 54 and wears her seat belt habitually. she would have had no injurys other than the seat belt tan line had she not had an airbag. i also dont know if that hand could survive another hit like that if it ever occured again. with all the cell phone users out there not to mention the drugs and alchol the odds are she will have another. this one was cell phone related kid that hit her had dropped his and was picking it up out of the floor when he crossed the yellow line. in a webcast announcement today tom lasorda announced that effective today all new 06 07 and 08 new chrysler vehicles sold at retail will be covered by a lifetime full powertrain warranty. diesels and srts are excluded. more details as they become available.... mike .
