rear diff was pretty nasty. heres the part that shocked me the transfer case fluid was really dirty. since i use 4wd so rarely i was a bit shocked. well everything is always spinning inside the transfer case regardless of 2wd or 4wd operation. since the 03+ trucks have no front axle disconnect the front driveshaft is always turning which means the front output shaft and chain are always turning. in fact the only difference between 2wd and 4wd in the transfer case is that when in 4wd the sprocket that drives the chain and therefore the front output shaft is coupled to the rear output shaft. glad to hear everything went well.... you saved yourself a bunch of money doing it yourself. .

try soda pop; cola or fruit flavors but no diet pop. the little buggers cant burp so . . . . . set it out in shollow dishes but keep it freshened up every 8 hours or so. budd big al wrote my 92 w250 360 v8 wont start. some initial tests proved it has no spark. so i tried to check for voltage at the coil primary with a test lamp. nothing. got out my scanner and checked for codes none. went into the actuator test menu and did the coil check. has good spark. if the distributor was not outputting pulses from the pickup coil i should have fault code 11. no distributor reference signal detected during engine cranking. is there something im missing any backyard distributor tests i can do to be confident i have signal btw the truck ran perfect the day before yesterday. and it rained last night. if this was an old nash i would expect it not to start after a little rain al have you tried a timing light if you have spark it should flash when cranking. ive never tried it but it should work on the coil wire too. -- ken found it. pack rats or some other rodents ate the wires just past the distributor connector. way up under the emission solenoids on the passengers side valve cover. this is not going to be fun to repair. this makes about ten pack rat repairs on my vehicles in the last three years. no more mister nice guy i need to get serious and get rid of them. they got another car of mine three times and i still havent found the last problem in it. this is the second time they got this truck in the last month. first time they ate the wires off the temperature sender for the ecm. al .

i finished the fluid changes today. both diffs tranny and transfer case. thanks for the advice and specs you sent . this was my first attempt at adjusting the bands. all went well but it would have been nice if the front band was as easy as the rear band ... as a side note ... the tranny fluid looked clean. it still had a brilliant red color. the front diff fluid was perfectly clean. the rear diff was pretty nasty. heres the part that shocked me the transfer case fluid was really dirty. since i use 4wd so rarely i was a bit shocked. 25k btw. craig c. .

big al wrote need help with a coleman ac shroud. mine vanished! al over there. watch out for 351cj and a guy who calls himself mike simmons. gee..... thanks! btw camping world has replacement shrouds for your coleman a/c unit. the oem shroud is a fairly thin plastic that degrades with exposure to sunlight. the constant vibration and buffeting causes the shroud to crack and eventually fly off. i just took a 3000 mile trip with my rv and prolly saw two or three shrouds alongside the interstate. using a uv inhibitor like 303 protectant will keep the shroud in better shape longer but eventually they all let loose. www.campingworld.com hope this helps! mike the guy to watch out for! ^ .
