Q: i read a while ago in the odd on yahoo that kenyan councilman godwin kipkemoi chepkurgor offered 40 goats and 2 cows for the hand of chelsea clinton in marriage about five years ago. he must be desperate. i dont think she could be worth more than a couple pigs and a rat but only if they offer change back. budd this is pretty low budd and shows a complete lack of class. what did chelsea do to you or anybody else for that matter and you of all people who claims that family should be kept out of things. if you dont like bill or hillary fine make your jokes about them since they are both public figures in politics but have some class man and leave their daughter out of it. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

is there any other fuse boxes to check out i didnt see any fuse boxes to the left or right of the dash which seems weird. nope - just fuse #21. double-check it again - make sure you see power on both legs of the fuse when its plugged in. beyond that have you had the radio out is it possible you damaged a wire .

mac davis wrote imho the old hemi was an engine designed to turn a car into a street rocket.... the engine that says hemi now is a great towing engine... ymwv yep. my new hemi is great for towing. lots of torque down low. it is quick even when not towing. far more so than my older 5.9l. passing on the highway is a breeze with the new hemi. still its no street racing machine. .

were putting a new radiator in my sons 98 1500. the lower transmission line that enters the radiator has a stange connection that i cant figure out how to remove. is this a quick-connect fitting how do i get it off the old radiator to put on the new any help will be appreciated. .

my battery will not hold charge both the battery and alternator were tested and found to be ok. the check engine light is on but the scanner found no codes. any help would be awesome was the alternator checked on the truck the regulator is part of the engine control module. if its going dead over night there may be something draining the battery. like a lamp in the glove box al .

there is a blower motor resistor block located in the heater/ac housing it controls the lower speeds but is bypassed in the high speed. an open circuit in one of the resistor windings will prevent the lower speeds from working. thanks for that information. can you tell me its exact location is it in the dash behind the glove box or down lower if its something i can find i could replace it if it does test open. finding it would be my problem. cant help you with location but its a bakelite block usually held in with two screws. .

i wonder if most of the newly built pick-up trucks domestic or imported are made in four wheel drive i recall in the old days that during the winter pick-up trucks usually have problem with tractions and they have to buy bags of sand to make sure that the rear wheels are not spinning. what about the new trucks and pick-ups are they now front wheel drive all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive i hardly hear someone complaining that they have to load their pick up truck with bags of sand any longer. is this still the practice during winter months .

im getting ready to sell my 86 dodge 1/2 ton p.u. to my brother and i go out to find that the blower will only work on high speed now. it has a four speed swithch. the vacuum operated louvers for various functions works fine and directs the air where its supposed to be and the a/c works fine but the blower will only work on high now. is there a relay somewhere if so where or is this another problem should i give it a good whack somewhere there is a blower motor resistor block located in the heater/ac housing it controls the lower speeds but is bypassed in the high speed. an open circuit in one of the resistor windings will prevent the lower speeds from working. .

as i thought just bullshit and spin. mine failed and i didnt lose any lubricant and i would say that most of the failures in here also were the bearings themselves and had nothing to do with a bad seal. the report was accurate in that a bad seal will affect the rears with them but it has little to do with the bearing failures that is yet another problem. lol pinion seal doesnt have to simply leak fliud..... could leak water as well. but that doesnt affect bearings does it and where is this water going to come from you do know that there is a flange protecting it from spray right mr. aerodynamics lol! is it now your argument that only people that have submerged the axle for extended periods of time and have this bad seal are the only ones with the bearing failure problem too funny. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

perhaps i phrase my question as clear as i could have... so i will try again i am considering the purchase of a 2005/2006 dakota slt - therefore i do not have a manual to check. i was hoping someone with a manual would advise me of the preferred as well as the option higher viscosity oils that may be referred to in the owners manual. unlike some other car makers dodge does not seem to have a tech link that i am able to locate. my current vehicle manufacturer has a great support site complete with tsbs oild viscosity charts etc. thanks for any help you can give. paul just do not make the mistake other owners have done only use the appropriate 5w-30 or 10w-30 oils i prefer synthetic. using heavier weights in the summer will cause premature oil pump wear and failure. when i bought my 98 ram many of my friends started using the 20w-90 racing oils in their new rams thinking they protected better in the heat. the heavier oil had the opposite affect and many of them were replacing failed oil pumps under 70k miles. my brother-in-law a chrysler/gm tech warned me about heavy weight oils where the manufacturers specified 10w-30 as the heaviest to use. well my 98 ram has almost 200k on it use 1/4-1/2 quart between oil changes all my friends are driving around in newer fords or chevys cussing out dodge calling their engines junk because their engine did not get the appropriate lubrication. they did it to themselves but cannot see the forest before the trees. coasty .

i worked out that white nylon bushing thingy technical term i cant replicate from the manual and put the new door in greased. replaced the thingy and actuator. tested system. all passed. good to hear... i havent had to remove the dah in a 3rd gen yet... just the basic bezel removals to run wiring etc. i have had to do the job on both a 99 and 95 model - not fun. the 3rd gens seem to be a lot easier not an easy job just easier than previous years. you were pretty much one or two steps from removing the entire ip... a few electrical disconnects the big bulkhead and the ones around it and the dash would have come out of the truck. .

are you sure you havent swaped the caps on the bearings right to left by accident maybe i replaced scored pinion bearings and set the pinion up ok. my problem is when i adjust the backlash. everything goes fine until i torque the adjusters to 70ft lbs. with the brng. caps tightened to 100 ft lbs. then the bearing cups will not stay in position they push in and lock the carrier up. on close examination it looks like the cups may have turned spun. otherwise the cups and carrier bearings look good. im wondering if i inststall new carrier bearings and cups if the new ones would hold or will i be wasting my money because the casting is shot .

excellent reply. sounds like ill be going back in. ive exhausted all other options. ive never had the truck to a dealer - always done all repairs myself. but this one has me stumped. my wife says take it to the dealer. then i told her of a couple of stories on the net similar to mine where the dealer charged $1000. she changed her tune and wants me to give it one more try ;- thanks for the advice. sounds like im going to take the dash/hvac out. im wondering if its a vacumm leak somewhere. is the heater control/blend door vacuum operated the mode door is vacuum-operated selects defrost/panel/floor vents. the blend door is mechanical. its spring-loaded and a steel cable connects to the dial on the hvac controls. remove the dash bezel two screws in the cupholder two in the ashtray then remove the hvac control 3 or 4 bolts/screws. disconnect the cable from the control on the back and tug on it gently. you should feel some tension on it. if it goes slack the blend door is probably wedged. to repair that means removing the hvac box and that means recovering the a/c draining the coolant and removing the entire dash. not a very fun job... .

mac.davis@splinters.comcast.net says... on wed 14 dec 2005 070621 -0500 bdk kingratay@buckeye-express.com wrote and what about people who are wrongly convicted sometimes it takes 15- 20 years to prove them innocent. of course if the police and prosecutors would do their jobs correctly this would very seldom happen. but you know it has. i dont really care about tookie he did enough stuff to get offed for anyway but you see constantly on tv some stories about some poor bastard who is proven innocent 10-15-20 years after conviction and usually a couple of years of that time is caused by prosecutors dragging their feet or sometimes fighting a dna test. if they are sure of the persons guilt why fight it thats not taking into account the actual times the police frame people and the da hides evidence that clears them. theres a local guy here who was sent up for murdering his girlfriend mostly due to the obviously coached testimony of his 3 year old son. after fighting for years and his grandmother protesting daily at the courthouse he got a dna test and like he claimed all along it wasnt him. the da isnt getting go completely as they still refuse to totally clear him saying we arent sure he wasnt involved somehow. they took 14 years away from him he lost everything his son is brainwashed and hates him his health is shot and they dont want to give him any cash for his trouble.. some justice! bdk bit was dna available at the time of the crime it wasnt in wide use yet but the da made his lawyers go through over two years of nonsense to get the test done after he had been in there 12 years already. this case was totally on the testimony of the kid there was no evidence linking him to the killing. he was there earlier and he said he was but at first the police said he killed her then then they revised it and said he killed her two hours later after his alibi for the original time blew their case along with the fact her other babys dad had been talking on the phone with her when the other guy left. he didnt have any money so he had the nearly worthless public defender who tried but didnt have the money to hire experts that would have said the original time was correct. three independent experts have later agreed the original time was correct but hes still under suspicion and the cops and da wont admit they have the wrong guy. this whole deal has gone on 22+ years! there was an armed robbery care a long time ago where a guy robbed a fast food place arbys i think and shot an off duty cop when trying to escape. they had a composite sketch on tv for days and then a jailhouse snitch comes up with what turned out to be a whopper that his former friend was the guy. they arrest him of course. hes yelling in court that hes not the guy. the judge isnt impressed. the cop who got shot didnt remember much about that day so he honestly said he didnt know for sure if he was the guy. there were problems with the case from the beginning. the guy looked nothing like the composite not even the same race. the guy in the composite looked hispanic the guy they arrested was a dark complected black guy. he had a half dozen people say he was at work when it happened nowhere near the crime scene. another guy was arrested for pistol whipping an old lady half a mile from the arbys an hour later. she was the grandmother of a friend of mine. the guy that robbed her looked almost exactly like the guy in the composites. he lived about a quarter mile from the arbys. they arrested guy the day after violated his parole and sent him back to prison. none of the cops mention this guy who was a known pos to anyone they arrest this other guy who has no record except for a dui put him on trial and he gets found guilty even after his co-workers one after another said he was at work when it happened. the guy goes ballistic and they drag him out while hes screaming hes innocent. he flips again during sentencing and is drug out again. his relatives go nuts and it was pretty ugly. his co-workers get on tv and say its racism and i kind of think they were right. the convicted guys relations get a pic and stuff in the mail from someone about 18 months later with the info about the other guy the real perp and it all falls apart. who sent it nobody knows for sure but whoever did worked at the police station. but the da stubborn as hell refuses to just admit that the police messed it up drags it out to over 4 years from when he was arrested to right after the people who witnessed the robbery got up on the stand when a hearing was ordered by the appeals court and said they had told the police that the defendant wasnt the guy wasnt close to looking like the guy that the real guy wasnt black but they never testified as the public defender said they werent needed and the da sure wasnt going to call them. he knew all the witnesses said they had the wrong guy but he apparent
