Q: i did learn a couple more things when i started to dig into things. the module is an auto-loc not a torq-loc. okay... looking at the instructions this unit operates exactly like my ats commander - so im familiar with how its supposed to work. by monitoring vehicle speed it will lock the torque converter and leave it locked until speed falls below a certain threshold selectable via the dip switches. so - to disable the autoloc and return tcc control directly to the pcm find where the installers cut and spliced the blue and yellow wires from the autoloc wiring harness into the tcc control wire. they could have done this at the transmission connector 8-way round connector on the drivers side of the transmission or at the pcm. remove the yellow and blue wires tape them up with electrical tape so they dont short might damage the autoloc if they do and re-connect the original wires if the installers followed the supplied instructions and/or common sense they used a male connector on one side of the factory wire and a female on the other side to facilitate re-connection. if thats not the case remove the yellow and blue wires from the autoloc module and jumper them together the wires themselves - not the terminals on the autoloc. drive the truck and see if the surging goes away. .
