hey bob if your truck is pinging you may want to get this flash done its a reprogram of the pcm for spark knock tsb 18-006-01 reva it would be covered under warranty the extended emissions warranty for 999 months glenn beasley chrysler tech ramman@dodgecity.cc wrote damnnickname@yahoo.com writes when i say fuel related i dont mean what the supplier delivers im refering to what is at the bottom of the tanks in the ground that you purchased it from water sediment and all that crap i always make it a habbit to not purchase fuel from a facility that has the tanker there filling up the in ground tanks all that does is stir up the trash at the bottom for you to put in your tank that makes sense. at consistently 810 under the competition you can probably imagine the volume this guy sells. frequently on mondays when i fill up half of his pumps have plastic bags over the 87-octane nozzle and the others are flowing *really* slow probably almost out too. still i have to wonder why are some of his pumps completely out of regular and others on a different island -not- out maybe he has multiple underground tanks for the same grade. thats the only thing that would explain it. i think we may have actually hit on something here. i dont know if im going to get a chance to work on the truck this weekend or not but i think ill start running some chevron or exxon through it and see if theres any improvement. cant hurt and what the hell its only money. i know my 01 ram 5.2l auto started to ping on quick trip 87 octane. i switched to phillips 66 87 octane and the pinging continued as well as rough idle when cold. i read here about chevron and how is was recommended. for the last year ive been using chevron 87 octane and the rough idle at cold is gone as well as the pinging. i pay a little more for chevron but to me its worth it. i have always used a fuel injection cleaner at every oil change. bob .

excuse my reply to your post scott but toms insane reply got caught up in it. tom the principal is the same and if you really had any knowledge of weight transfer weight moment arms physics and good old common sense even you could see it . . . .maybe. -- budd whats the difference between a bad golfer and a bad skydiver one goes whack darn and the other goes darn whack. i said that depends on conditions budd. please stop twisting what i said to suit your desperate needs. btw your example about the bike rider shifts the existing weight to the rear it doesnt add any there so it is an invalid comparrison. how did i know that you would come out of the woodwork for a second beating max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .

as denny says depending on the amount of weight it can be marginally better but also think of the whole truck as a see-saw. too much / too far behind the axle and you can actually reduce the weight on the front wheels -- budd whats the difference between a bad golfer and a bad skydiver one goes whack darn and the other goes darn whack. i have a related question. dont laugh. one of the posts states that putting the sandbags directly over the rear axle will ensure that the optimal amount of the added weight will be supported by the rear rather than the front providing maximum rear traction point taken. now what if you put the sandbags all the way to the back of the bed ive always wondered this i hope this doesnt start a feud!!! .

really. i wondered how that would work. i notice that lou fusz from st. louis has several advertised on ebay. they also will sell a new truck for invoice less 3%. it is possible to purchase a us $42k vehicle for us 34k check ebay. thats how i got mine. steve folks i have lurking around for 2 months now and am totally convinced i want to get a ctd! im not new to dcx products and own jeep cherokee and a tj. the jeep is now getting tired and we recently got a cottage and snowmobiles and also own a 25 boat. sooo justification for a diesel is there. wife and kids are onboard. it took me while to digest and accept the $50k invoice canadian 05 2500 stick ctd laramie + few options. i need help in deciding what to do. i work for a supplier to dcx so getting invoice is not a problem. i have been waiting for dcx to announce some deals and/or rebates for 2 months now and nothing - nothing for 05 except 1.8% financing for 36 months. we pay 15% taxes here in ontario and thats a killer. so i check for 04s since dcx will eat one tax and give $500 .our friendly dealer found 2 for me 5000km away - in bc!! and he will sell to me at invoice. i asked for a better deal since in 3 weeks it will be a year old!! they would not do it!! so the only difference between a 05 and 04 is savings on 1 tax - 4k. my options are 1. order 05 now and hope some rebates will be there by delivery time feb 05. has dcx in the past offered rebates on model year trucks early in the year anyone know. 2. buy the 04 and save invoice - 4k. i would think they would offer some credit for depreciation!! what would you do anyone from canada would like to share the price on their recent purchase thanks guys. i have not even considered gm or fords - stuck to this forum everyday and am convinced dodge is the way to go - besides they look awesome!! .

man you should get a friggin hobby. you have finally gone past the point of even being mildly humorous. perhaps it is time for a group wide boycott of your posts. on my old d150 about 300 pounds made a huge difference but i used snow myself. snows cheaper and ive rarely got stuck. you said that you never got stuck in the snow. i guess that was a lie. i hope youre not supporting t-bones erroneous viewpoint that all extra weight makes for longer stops. i said that depends on conditions budd. please stop twisting what i said to suit your desperate needs. btw your example about the bike rider shifts the existing weight to the rear it doesnt add any there so it is an invalid comparrison. more weight to the rear weight added to the bed that is will increase the traction and braking effectiveness by increasing the percentage of the weight that does not shift forward upon braking. care to explain that one. but snow and ice is what causes the most dramatic increase in braking distance if you dont add weight and far more that any distance increase from the weight itself. that depends on the conditions. -- budd whats the difference between a bad golfer and a bad skydiver one goes whack darn and the other goes darn whack. not bad. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

thats just my opinion im refering this to the neighborhood that burnt up here in md it can very well be some idiot that purchased the first house in there to have a bunch of others move in that he didnt want in there it had no choice to be that high dollar home they were all that high priced maxpower wrote that would put you in laplata/whiteplains area and i would be willing to take a bet that is not an enviromental thing it will be found as a racial act of crime if it was a racial thing the fires wouldnt be limited to high $ homes. this arson is nothing new. it has happened nationwide for many years. three years ago over 75 newly built high $ homes around phoenix and tucson were torched over a 1 year period. they finally caught the individuals responsible. they were upset at the construction in desert mountain areas. .

on mon 20 dec 2004 163753 gmt trey treydog90spam@hotmail.com wrote tom lawrence wrote is the injector in the cylender some of it its actually no different in position than a spark plug... and on the 12v engines removes in the same manner. you just have to disconnect the fuel line that runs to it first. on the 24v engines the injector is in the middle of the combustion chamber like the spark plug on a hemi and you have to remove the valve cover and rocker arms to access them no tube through the valve cover like on a hemi. on the 03 and up engines you also have an electrical connector to deal with. i thought that was a new thing i dont follow... i thought only the new diesels with the pilot injection had the injector in the combustion chamber and the older ones had the injector in the intake manifold like a gas engine. my experience is limited here. i thought a diesel needed to have the injector in the combustion chamber so the injection pump can time the ignition. if the fuel is injected into the inlet manifold one would need to vary the compression in order to time the ignition. any thoughts here kend .
