on ebay i see obd-ii scanners going for as low as $10. will one of these low priced scanners do any more for the diy than the dodges switch on switch off switch on routine that gives on the trouble codes assuming you have a vehicle that allows this 2000 or newer then the only additional thing the handheld scanner will do is allow you to clear the codes. .
