it depends on how much room you have will taping on it with a hammer work the press tool makes it much smoother to install. quick question did you start the truck to make sure you had it timed properly from your previous post. would hate to have put it all together and not start. bryan just put in new chain and gears. any trick to pressing on the harmonic balancer or do i need the special installer tool if so where can i buy the tool. john o .

whats the average the 1500 will hold that is before serious repairs may be needed. and assuming you follow all maintenance schedules and everything. i have seen some with 130k others with 180k. i just wonder what an average could be. or what the mileage is on your 1500 or ones you have seen. most say for max mileage go toyota. i had a toy and after 167k head problems. just curious is all. kenneth .

some guys have no concept of torque and what it means they also have no concept of the rpm at which peak torque and hp occur and what it means chrysler electronics are so hard to redo that the poster would have to check with a shop in his area that deals in electronic fuel injection for answers to his questions on his vehicle. it all relates to whether the 3185.2 computer has enough variable built in to handle the fuel flow for the larger engine. the other poblem is needing a 3605.9 convertor due to the external balance. the 318 is internal and a 360 is external. then there is a possibility that the transmissions are different and dont interchange convertor wise. theres not a bunch of these swaps being done because chryco made it so complicated as opposed to the gm electronics when are easily programmable and bolt patterns are the same etc for bolt on things but whats the torque difference torque is what does the work when towing or hauling. ive got the 318 5.2 predecessor in my 79 and on the move from co to ut i would rather have had a 360 or a big block even though the 3 a dyslexic man walks into a bra. .
