No power to the trailer plug
From : john
Q: i checked the fuse and its fine. is there a relay or fusible link im missing power for that pin comes from fuse #1 in the ipm. it leaves the ipm as a red/orange wire. its spliced under the dash to provide the power lead for the brake controller connector and then runs to a 14-pin connector down by the firewall bulkhead connector. from the other side of that connector its a white/red wire that runs to the trailer tow connector the ten-pin connector that the 7-way trailer plug connects to. if youre positive the fuse is good check for power at pin #1 of the trailer brake controller connector. if you have voltage there youve got a break in the wiring between the firewall connector and the back of the truck. if you have no voltage at the brake controller connector youve got a wiring problem back up to the ipm fuse box .
