Q: i do not wish to start a flame war here but wires should never be soldered together ever. yep... the entire electronics industry is utterly clueless when it comes to this huh increases the risk even more. i know that many still do it and many have been successful or so they say so they say... right were lying and covering up. but no vehicle air sea or land is constructed with soldered wire harnesses. ever see a wire harness with integrated diodes ever wonder how they make the connection from diode to copper wire like anything else - if done properly theres no problems. if done poorly well... all bets are off. -tom whos soldered connections to his driving lights on his 10 year old truck have yet to fail and burn the truck to the ground - go figure .

be carefull that they are not coated first. polishing that coating will make a mess. if they are really dull autosol and some elbow grease ... you can make them look like chrome. mothers polish for mags works well too phyloe wrote my 2000 ram 1500 has those cast aluminum wheels and they are looking a little dull. what works well to bring back the shine phyloe .
