Q: i hit a big tree last week with speed about 45 mph in a 99 1500. my former truck is now a crumpled mass at only 45 mph. i really do not want a vehicle that is suppose to be ram tough and only be proves itself a wrinkled mass paper mache tough i think the only stop that was not damaged was the tailgate. everyone tought i should have been dead with such massive damage. .

borrow a furd or shivy from your friends and hit the tree then make the decide which one is best. as for me i try to avoid trees so i do not factor that into my car buying decision. better yet just get an issue of consumer reports that has the crash test results for the models you are thinking about. ken w i hit a big tree last week with speed about 45 mph in a 99 1500. my former truck is now a crumpled mass at only 45 mph. i really do not want a vehicle that is suppose to be ram tough and only be proves itself a wrinkled mass paper mache tough i think the only stop that was not damaged was the tailgate. everyone tought i should have been dead with such massive damage. .

for what its worth several years ago a guy was drunk and ran off the road into a big rock. injured him severely and he sued because the rocks were put in the median for decoration. this was a residential area. he won several million dollars. go figure. dddd thewanderert wrote i hit a big tree last week with speed about 45 mph in a 99 1500. my former truck is now a crumpled mass at only 45 mph. i really do not want a vehicle that is suppose to be ram tough and only be proves itself a wrinkled mass paper mache tough i think the only stop that was not damaged was the tailgate. everyone tought i should have been dead with such massive damage. you should sue whomever put that tree where cars are being driven. was there a sign warning you not to drive into the tree the owner of the property where the tree was is to blame. they should have constructed proper barriers to prevent such accidents as well as proper warning signs to warn you of the danger. .

my dirt track car has been hit at over 80 and i didnt get a scratch just had to change out the one bad tire/rim and went back out on the track. did someone crash into you also going about 80 if so then the relative speed was much lower. if someone hits you at 82 and youre going 80 the relative speed of the collision is only 2mph. if you crashed into a wall or tree at 80 youd have way more than a scratch but of course you have a roll cage. -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

i have hit the wall at over 80 and other than getting winded no big deal. but the stock car also has 5 point harness lots of steel around me and im in a good seat. all of those items are made to take a beating and come back from it. a street car is not even close in strength it is made to crush my race car isnt. i have also been spun out and hit by a different car coming full speed not a big deal there either. i have also been in my share of on highway events. much rather be in the race car..... -- steve williams steve w. me@homer.org wrote in my dirt track car has been hit at over 80 and i didnt get a scratch just had to change out the one bad tire/rim and went back out on the track. did someone crash into you also going about 80 if so then the relative speed was much lower. if someone hits you at 82 and youre going 80 the relative speed of the collision is only 2mph. if you crashed into a wall or tree at 80 youd have way more than a scratch but of course you have a roll cage. -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .
