i am not sure about that truck but if that upper a-arm is a stamped steel or formed steel type and the ball joint was not pressed perfectly straight you may have stretched or cracked the opening. if it is simply stretched sometimes you can buy oversize ball joints and i know for a fact than dana makes oversize for some applications. dana makes perfect circle and napa as well as many other brands. if it is cracked then you are sol...get a new arm. mark i just replaced all four ball joints perfect circle in my 95 ram 1500 and after a few miles the right upper ball joint popped out of the upper suspension arm. anyone heard of this before i thought that when i pressed in the ball joint that it was a little easier than the other side. new one not to spec too bad dodge just presses these in from the top with no retainers. .

have stopped reading this thread because of the flaming. i surmise most people dont even read the group so your generalization would be correct in the light of an entire population. on the basis of most of the hard core readers of the ng i dont think you are correct. typically mime format emphasizes your lack of familiarity with the tools at your disposal. your opinion or a statement made to incite. i hope its the former. opinion based on the fact that most people who post in mime dont know how to turn it off. howver -- though i may object to what someone says however distasteful i would defend the persons right to say it. which contradicts your call for them to take it off the ng. max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. . 222 275118 1i4kb.143$m24.5118@eagle.america.net i just replaced all four ball joints perfect circle in my 95 ram 1500 and after a few miles the right upper ball joint popped out of the upper suspension arm. anyone heard of this before yup...did you use the right tool when you pressed out the old ones i thought that when i pressed in the ball joint that it was a little easier than the other side. new one not to spec chances are the ball joint is fine..its the a arm thats not. too bad dodge just presses these in from the top with no retainers. funny....so does ford and gm.... .

after the second ball joint popped out i bought a new upper control arm assembly and this problem is resolved. this right control arm may have been abused by 170000 miles two right fender benders and two popped joints. thanks for your help! bruce cbhvac stephenaddressscfrewedonpurpose@carolinabreezehvac.com wrote in i just replaced all four ball joints perfect circle in my 95 ram 1500 and after a few miles the right upper ball joint popped out of the upper suspension arm. anyone heard of this before yup...did you use the right tool when you pressed out the old ones i thought that when i pressed in the ball joint that it was a little easier than the other side. new one not to spec chances are the ball joint is fine..its the a arm thats not. too bad dodge just presses these in from the top with no retainers. funny....so does ford and gm.... .
