Q: mad cows & illegal aliens is it just me or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in canada almost three years ago right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of washington. they can also track her calves to their stalls. but they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. cows dont vote! m politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich. .

anyhow the guys says $2200 to have this work done. does this seem excessive to anyone i feel like im being taken for a ride.... oh just a bit if you dont have 4-wheel abs the bearings run $143 each. add about $100 to that if you have 4-wheel abs. u-joints are about $10 each. so thats anywhere from $300 to $500 in parts depending. having just done this for someone recently it took me about 30 minutes to replace the bearing. it would have been another 45 or so to pull the shaft and change the u-joint the snap rings can be a bitch to get out. call it 2 hours per side tops. even with a 20% markup on price and assuming the higher of the two and a labor rate of $100/hr. again shooting high plus shop supplies etc. - thats still about double what you should have to pay. .

right on the brake problems. reason is the weight of the wheels causes overheating of the brake componenents. there have been lots of problems reported but they can be overcome if you do the $4000.00 brake upgrade to go with your $2k-$4k wheels. all it takes is money! hello iam needing tires on a 2002 dodge ram 4x4 and am trying to decide if i should bite the bullet and jump to the 20 in rims and tires. was wondering if anybody has made the change and if so how it affected performance. i assume the bigger rim will hurt it some with speed as well as mpg any thoughts thanks in advance tom .
