Q: but the battery is an automotive battery. many people use two 6v golf cart batteries in the trailer as they say that the batteries last longer. i dont have enough room in the battery compartment to do that. thats all well and fine on a camping trailer but doesnt apply to enclosed or open car trailers i guess none of you guys ever had a battery in your vehicle go bad either politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich. .

its called a fipk fuel injection performance kit and no it does not improve performance. at least with my truck i did not notice any improvement in performance or fuel economy. its just louder. i am thinking about putting the oem air box back in to see if performance goes down at all. hey thanks to everyone for the input. glad to hear im not the only one with a gas guzzler. this truck has a k&n air filter on it too. i was reading on the box it came in some of its benefits. one of them is increases gas mileage. i was like gee..... what was it before this filter was on 5mpg im certain this filter didnt do much for the gas mileage. i was thinking of putting on one of those after market air filter systems that has a tube leading to the front of the engine compartment with the filter on the end of that tube. not sure what its called but i think k&n makes it. possibly a cold air intake system. plus i was thinking of putting in a after market power module. heard they not only increase hp but also mileage. any opinions on that thanks again!! joel wrote greetings recently i purchased a 2001 dodge ram 1500 quad cab/ off road package with an automatic transmission with a 5.9 liter magnum gas engine. i love it except for the dismal gas mileage. on the open road holding steady at 75mph its getting 10 mpg. thats the best it does! its got one of those headliner mounted information centers that can display the current mpg. i turned the dang thing off because i dont want to see sometimes single digits for my current mpg cruising down the open road!! dodge engine normally get prety lousy mileage but 10 is a little low. start by checking to make sure the overhead console is correct. then do the normal tune up things. then start looking for bad parts like o2 sensors. plus with the cruise set and driving over some hilly terrain the transmission shifts up and down more than expected. thats pretty normal too. its an attempt to stay in od as long as possible to conserve fuel. and the cruise control is a little sensative it tries to maintan speed with rapid throttle movements. when it gets hilly either take it out of od or turn off the cruise control. oh and when i put it in four wheel drive the front steering seems like it really binds a lot. if its on dry pavement that is also normal. all 4x4s do that. thats why they tell you never to use it on dry pavement. -- .bob 97 h-d fxdwg - turbocharged!! 01 dakota quad sport 5.9/auto/4x4 83 gmc jimmy beater 66 427sc cobra replica - project 66 mustang coupe - daily driver -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

speedo drive gear is wrong i had the overdrive section of my auto transmission in this truck turn into a nice soupy mixture of metal shavings awhile back. since the truck had about 130k on it and the engine was getting tired i ordered up a rebuilt v6 and tranny from aftermarket sources. the tranny i received was date stamped as an 89 model but except for different sized fittings for the cooling lines everything appeared to fit the same and it went back together just fine and is running. ive rebuilt many engines but ive never really gotten into auto transmissions before but here are the symptoms of a problem that has come up. the truck holds a lower gear for way too long. when in drive the rpms go to near red-line without shifting. to force a shift it is necessary to get the speed up then let off the gas pedal a bit. at highway speeds it runs just fine so this issue only appears at low speeds. the second part of this problem is that the speedo now reads low. before the transmission change my gps showed a perfect match to the speedometer now it is reading about 5mph slow at highway speeds. if it were a standard tranny i would say that it is geared taller than the stock one was. any tranny guys out there who can provide some pointers on where to start with correcting this problem im hoping it is some simple tuning stuff so that i dont have to take her to a tranny shop to do it. hate to pay other people money to take care of mechanical stuff ya know. it was quite a bear to get that tranny in there in the first place... tia scott .

my durango seems to only have one drive wheel! after driving through a muddy area i noticed that only one side of the vehicle had mud spun on it. ive tried to get both wheels to spin but can only determine that one wheel propels the vehicle. isnt a limited slip required to be called 4x2 thats how this vehicle is presented on the window sticker. how can i tell if i have a limited slip axle can i make chrysler put one in since this is supposed to be a 4x2 where did you come up with this 4x1 and 4x2 thing a 4x2 simply means 2 wheel drive one axle regardless of the rear diff type so either way you have a 4x2. open rears tend to favor one axle but i forgot which one. there are many ways to determine what type of rear it has. the easiest way is to read the sticker that is under the hood if it is still readable. another way would be to jack up one rear wheel and with the truck in neutral and the emergency brake off try and turn the wheel. if you can turn it you have an open rear. another way is to jack up both wheels and with it in neutral turn one of the wheels. if they both turn together same direction you have a limited slip. if they turn in opposit directions you have an open rear. limited slip diffs have bo

the drive gear wasnt changed but if the interface in the new tranny was different than the old one obviously that would make for the difference on the speedometer. so this must mean that the tranny senses speed off the speedo output as part of determining shift points anyhow i suppose that is a starting point. thanks scott transsurgeon wrote speedo drive gear is wrong i had the overdrive section of my auto transmission in this truck turn into a nice soupy mixture of metal shavings awhile back. since the truck had about 130k on it and the engine was getting tired i ordered up a rebuilt v6 and tranny from aftermarket sources. the tranny i received was date stamped as an 89 model but except for different sized fittings for the cooling lines everything appeared to fit the same and it went back together just fine and is running. ive rebuilt many engines but ive never really gotten into auto transmissions before but here are the symptoms of a problem that has come up. the truck holds a lower gear for way too long. when in drive the rpms go to near red-line without shifting. to force a shift it is necessary to get the speed up then let off the gas pedal a bit. at highway speeds it runs just fine so this issue only appears at low speeds. the second part of this problem is that the speedo now reads low. before the transmission change my gps showed a perfect match to the speedometer now it is reading about 5mph slow at highway speeds. if it were a standard tranny i would say that it is geared taller than the stock one was. any tranny guys out there who can provide some pointers on where to start with correcting this problem im hoping it is some simple tuning stuff so that i dont have to take her to a tranny shop to do it. hate to pay other people money to take care of mechanical stuff ya know. it was quite a bear to get that tranny in there in the first place... tia scott .

while that is true if both have equal traction an open rear seems to favor one of the axles and there is a reason for it but it has been so long that i have completely forgotten what it is. youre probably thinking about the torque of the driveshaft twisting or trying to twist the rear axle. the axle wants to rotate around the differential counter-clockwise when viewed from the back which will give the drivers side tire a little more traction so the passenger side should break loose. theoretically of course .

i have been search in vain for a 1999 dodge ram wiring diagram. free on the net of course. the problem i am having started with the power outlet in the dash. it stopped working. i thought it may be a fuse. nope. it is tied in with the cigarette lighter at the fuse center. next. right front speaker starts cuting out..then fails altogther..at first i thought loose wiring since some work was done in that area a while back. then the left front speak goes out. after that i start getting crappy radio reception. ah! it must be radio. i changed the radio..receiption has improved but front speakers are still out. i pulled the panel on the driver door and checked for voltage coming out that wireac meter of course dead. now i am thinking there must be a another point where those items connect and may have come loose. do the speaker wires go directly to the radio thanks for any help .

blow me. hi ive just bought a 04 ram 1500 quad cab and am very happy with it. i have an 8 year old daughter who goes everywhere with me and i need to disconnect the passenger side air bag to make it legal and safe for her to ride in the front with me. the quad cabs dont have the key switch in the dash supposed to stick the kids in the back seat. i think i found the plug above the glove box yellow with an orange plastic tab but am unsure about messing around with it and getting the bag to function with my noggin right in front of it. is this the right plug how do the air bags actuate thanks merlin. merlin if you are so concerned for her safety as you appear to be then put her in the back seat where she will be safer. quit trying to beat the safety system in the truck. if something happens i hope nothing does and she gets hurt in the front seat you will alway wonder if it was partially or fully your fault for not having her in the back where she belongs. -- fmb only one b in fmb .

redneck tookover hell wrote buy one that bolts to the frame not the bumper most all of them bolt to the frame if not all of them. however a lot of them will also bolt to the bumper for additional support. on the 89 dodge i had this was good as the bumper was just as about as strong as the frame and with it bolted at four locations pushing other vehicles or striking small trees was no problem. todays bumpers will flex with no support. either way with todays trucks you will roll the brush guard inward. jerry .

if you are sure that it is not getting fuel into the fuel rail when it acts up what the hell does a magnetic pickup in the distributor have to do with that that pickup as you call it is the camshaft position sensor and controls the fuel injection synchronization. this could be the problem with the ops engine and possibly yours but it has no control over the fuel pump itself other to indicate to the pcm to shut it down. if you are sure that you are not getting fuel into the rail and you can hear the pump running then your problem is in the pump itself no if and or butts about it. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving dont feel badi have a 96 doing exactly the same thing. i did notice that i could let it sit and idle all day but once i drove it a certain distance it would mess up just as you describe. yours may not be flooding as mine doesnt get any fuel into the fuel rail when it acts up but the pump can still be heard running when it does this so i bet thats what yours is doing too. i put a new coil on after i was told that was the problem but it wasnt. the voltage to the fuel pump seems good too so im not going to put a $200+ pump in it until absolutely positive. my next try is going to be the magnetic pickup under the distributor for shits & giggles as i have a new one available so well see. im just not in the mood to play with that damn cap/rotor again tough to get at...but i will. hello...i have a 1995 dodge 4x4. recently after a trip down the freeway i turned off and started up a mountain highway and suddenly my truck seemed to lose all power. i pulled off the road and it sat and idled but it was running very badly. if i tried to give it gas it would act as though it was flooding...it would begin to rev up but after it got to a certain point it would run very bad. i called a tow truck and while waiting i started it back up and it seemed to be running normal. i drove back off the mountain and met the tow truck at the freeway. he followed me back home almost 20 miles at which point it did the same again. we put it on his tow truck and he carried me the rest of the way to his shop. when we started the truck to remove it from the tow truck it ran beautifully and hasnt had another episode since...but ive not driven it any farther than about 5 miles from my house. ive searched the google groups for like problems and possible answers...until i came across this group. im hoping someone here can assist me with the problem. i did take the truck to a local repair shop where they let it run almost all day in order to get hot and happen again but it didnt happen and he has no idea what it might be... probably wasnt good for it to sit and run all day im not sure. anyway any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks for any assistance! bill .

cummis owns their own filter company and supplies dodge with replacement filters. by the way the magneson-moss warranty act prohibits any vehicle manufacturer from voiding a warranty for the use of an aftermarket filter. unless they are willing to provide the replacement filters for free to the vehicle owners. dodge and cummins has lost this battle several times. thank you sema. nosey wrote why is it the dodge will void the warranty for use of after market filters k&n they dont. they cant. for a while dodge was not authorizing the use of k&n filters in the ram diesel only. that is a big difference they still dont on the diesel. from http//www.cummins.com does daimlerchrysler authorize the use of high-flow aftermarket air filters such as k&n with my cummins engine no. daimlerchrysler and cummins do not recommend the use of increased flow air filters such as k&n because they can allow contaminants into the intake that can ruin an engine scoring the sides of the pistons etc. .

naw you dont have to that. its the steering coupler at the gear box. they go bad all the time. in all hte years of driving rwd with steering boxes ive never had a coupler at the steering box end of the shaft go bad. thats not to say it cannot but its not as likely as a loose steering box after years of use. further if you do not check to see that your steering box doesnt have too much play its foolish. go to your local dodge dealer and tell them you need a reapair kit for the steering coupler. bullshit. for the amount of cash you lay out for that stuff you can get a borgeson unit thta may be more $$ but will never fail in the lifetime of the truck. i will say it aint easy but worth it. installing the borgeson unit is about the easiest upgrade ive done to any vehicle and made one hell of a difference. in my case it was the very poorly manufactured upper coupling on the stock shaft that caused the play. max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. .

all the 1971 through 1989 360 engines are pretty much the same other than emissions. around 1989 they started using hydraulic roller cams then they came out with the magnum 360. if you use a magnum 360 the ballance weights on the torque converter are different so you would have to change torque converters. the 727 loadflight is a pretty easy transmission to rebuild. if you have the transmission out most transmission shops will rebuild it carry in for under $400. if you want to rebuild it yourself have the tools and service manual a rebuild kit should be under $100. i think the 360 didnt get roller lifters until 1993. the 318s got them a year or two earlier. al im looking for a less-used replacement for my 85 w350 360 loadflight engine. anyone know if the car version and what years will bolt in my transmission is a little iffy too - are there any that would bolt all the way back to my np-208 transfer case i only use the truck for the five-year snowstorm hauling gravel and going to the dump so remanufactured or rebuilding isnt very attractive... if it will fit i can probably buy a little old lady passensger car of that vintage for $200. .

so you think my fuel pump is the culprit no way to check it but put one in right i just paid it off it was a second hand truck and this started... bill if you are sure that it is not getting fuel into the fuel rail when it acts up what the hell does a magnetic pickup in the distributor have to do with that that pickup as you call it is the camshaft position sensor and controls the fuel injection synchronization. this could be the problem with the ops engine and possibly yours but it has no control over the fuel pump itself other to indicate to the pcm to shut it down. if you are sure that you are not getting fuel into the rail and you can hear the pump running then your problem is in the pump itself no if and or butts about it. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving dont feel badi have a 96 doing exactly the same thing. i did notice that i could let it sit and idle all day but once i drove it a certain distance it would mess up just as you describe. yours may not be flooding as mine doesnt get any fuel into the fuel rail when it acts up but the pump can still be heard running when it does this so i bet thats what yours is doing too. i put a new coil on after i was told that was the problem but it wasnt. the voltage to the fuel pump seems good too so im not going to put a $200+ pump in it until absolutely positive. my next try is going to be the magnetic pickup under the distributor for shits & giggles as i have a new one available so well see. im just not in the mood to play with that damn cap/rotor again tough to get at...but i will. hello...i have a 1995 dodge 4x4. recently after a trip down the freeway i turned off and started up a mountain highway and suddenly my truck seemed to lose all power. i pulled off the road and it sat and idled but it was running very badly. if i tried to give it gas it would act as though it was flooding...it would begin to rev up but after it got to a certain point it would run very bad. i called a tow truck and while waiting i started it back up and it seemed to be running normal. i drove back off the mountain and met the tow truck at the freeway. he followed me back home almost 20 miles at which point it did the same again. we put it on his tow truck and he carried me the rest of the way to his shop. when we started the truck to remove it from the tow truck it ran beautifully and hasnt had another episode since...but ive not driven it any farther than about 5 miles from my house. ive searched the google groups for like problems and possible answers...until i came across this group. im hoping someone here can assist me with the problem. i did take the truck to a local repair shop where they let it run almost all day in order to get hot and happen again but it didnt happen and he has no idea what it might be... probably wasnt good for it to sit and run all day im not sure. anyway any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks for any assistance! bill .

i found this in a group and decided to try it. a little while back i was browsing through groups just like you are now and came across a message just like this that said you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00!!! so i thought yeah right this must be a scam!!! but like most of us i was curious so i kept reading. anyway it said that you send $1.00 to each of the 6 names and addresses stated in the message. you then place your own name and address at the bottom of the list at #6 and post the message in at least 200 groups. there are thousands. no catch that was it. so after thinking it over and talking to a few people first i thought about trying it. i figured what have i got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00 right so i invested the measly $6.00!!! guess what within 7 days i started getting money in the mail!!! i was shocked!!! i figured it would end soon but the money just kept coming in!!! in my first week i had made about $25.00. by the end of the second week i had made a total of over $1000.00!!! in the third week i had over $10000.00 and it is still growing!!! this is now my fourth week and i have made a total of just over $42000.00 and it is still coming in rapidly!!! its certainly worth $6.00 and 6 stamps!!! i have spent more than that on the lottery!!! let me tell you how this works and most importantly why it works!!! also make sure you print a copy of this message now. so you can get the information off of of it as you need it. i promise you that if you follow the directions exactly that you will start making more money than you thought possible by doing something so easy!!! suggestion read this entire message carefully!!! print it out or download it. follow the simple directions and watch the money come in!!! its easy!!! its legal!!! your investment is only $6.00 plus postage. important this is not a rip-off!!! it is not illegal!!! it is almost entirely risk free and it really works!!! if all of the following instructions are adhered to you will receive extraordinary dividends!!! please note follow these directions exactly and $60000.00 or more can be yours in 20 to 90 days!!! this program remains successful because of the honesty and the integrity of the participants!!! please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. you will now become part of the mail order business. in this business your product is not solid or tangible it is a service. you are in the business of developing mailing lists. many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. however the money made from a mailing list is secondary to the income which is made from people like you and me asking to be included on your mailing list!!! here are the 4 easy steps to success step 1 get 6 separate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper. please put me on your mailing list now get 6 u.s. dollar bills and place one inside each of the 6 pieces of paper so the bills will not be seen through the envelopes to prevent mail theft. next place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them you should now have 6 sealed envelopes. each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase your name and address and a $1.00 bill. this is absolutely legal!!! you are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it!!! like most of us i was a little skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspect of it all. so i checked it out with the u.s. postal service and they confirmed that it is indeed legal!!! mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses j.j. maxey 355 n. manila ave. fresno ca 93727 usa kyle pate p.o. box 2046 great falls mt 59403-2046 usa g.h.l. 1600 n thorntree rd muncie in 47304-9710 usa g. skillen 32 ebor drive tates avenue belfast bt12 6nr northern ireland motut 2377 anora dr. abbotsford bc v2s 5p3 canada rebecca stewart p. o. box 1331 baytown tx 77522 step 2 now take the #1 name off the list that you see above move the other names up 6 becomes 5 5 becomes 4 etc. and add your name as number 6 on the list. step 3 change anything you need to but try to keep this message as close to what you see as possible. now post your amended message to at least 200 groups. i think there are close to 24000 groups!!! all you need is 200 but remember the more you post the more money you make!!! this is perfectly legal!! if you have any doubts refer to title18 sec. 1302 & 1341 of the postal lottery laws. keep a copy of these steps for yourself and whenever you need money you can use it again. please remember that this program remains successful because of the honesty and the integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to the directions!!! look at it this way. if you are of integrity the program will continue and the money that so many ot

.... bullshit. when either car loses traction on the front wheels youve lost all control. the difference really is that in a rwd car you get off of the gas and hope that engine braking straightens it back out. if not you are sol. with a fwd you can give it a little more gas and if that doesnt work you can still try the rwd method with the emergency brake or a combination of both. gee it looks like the fwd has twice the ability to recover from a skid. for years weve all gotten the hard sell on how great fwd is in bad weather. bullshit. just because you choose not to believe it doesnt make it false. dude based on what youve said you dont have a clue what youre talking about and/or you dont have a clue how to drive in snow. years ago in the 70s i had an opal 1900. cant remember the year want to say about a 69 that i drove up to sun valley one winter. it was a rear wheel drive and the snow didnt slow it down one bit. in the morning it was the only 2 wheel drive car that made it out of the motel parking lot without having to be dug out. no chains btw at the same time i owned a 68 firebird convertible with wide tires that wouldnt even move in an inch of snow. i would have to say there are many factors that determine whether a car is a good snow vehicle or not. front or rear wheel drive is not the determining factor by any means. bill lol! and how many front wheel drive cars were in the lot at the time in the 70s i would say about none. if rear wheel drive vehicles are so capable in the snow why was yours the only one to get out all things being equal a front wheel drive vehicle will have superior performance in the snow period. i have also owned a 78 honda civic that wasnt worth a damn in the snow. too light i would have to say. bill .

well the door panel is not that difficult to take off. there is a total of 5 screws. one up by the controller for the side mirror one at the arm rest 2 at the bottom and the final one behind the door latch. pull the door latch open and you will find it behind the latch. once that is done gently lift the panel up. and then you will need to unplug things like the power side mirror speaker and the metal rod connecting the door latch to the locking mechanism. i dont know how easy or difficult it is to replace the motor but my initial looks it doesnt look too difficult. it looks like only 3 bolts hold it in place. take those off and it should should come out without too much fan-fare. but when the time comes when i want to get it fixed. i will be doing the job. scott saydee47@hotmail.com oerclockd proc wrote in how difficult is it to take off the door panel is the power door lock motor easy to replace or is this something that should be left to a mechanic .

not quite ed. the thermistor used in the otis is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor which means as the temp rises the resistance drops and vice-versa. also the temps it would take to get what you suggesting would occur are way above and below human tolerance. i suepct he has an open sensor or an open in the wiring. the sensor is located on the radiator core support and can be tested with a dvom as can the wirng between the sensor and otis. mike dont take it in just yet... the outside temperature gage works by a thermistor variable resistor which changes its resistance as its temperature changes changing the voltage in a circuit which is interpreted as temperature. therefore... oc = open circuit. the thermistor is so cold its not allowing any voltage through. sc looks like 5c on the display = short circuit. the thermistor is so hot its allowing all voltage through. i dont know at which temperatures oc and sc occur. by-the-way...by pressing and holding both the reset and us/m keys for a few seconds though fewer than it takes to initiate compass calibration mode the degrees portion of the display will show your true north compass heading adjusted for your current magnetic north compass offset as described in the manual to within a few degrees when the vehicle is level. says... oc indicates an open circuit either in the wiring or the sensor itself. check the wiring and sensor with an ohmmeter to find the source of the problem. great... looks like ill need to either take it in to chrysler or figure out the temp by opening the window. i have no idea where the circuitry or temp sensor is located. thanks for the advice! -- chris http//www.choxnpinz.com remove caps from e-mail address to reply .

naw you dont have to that. its the steering coupler at the gear box. they go bad all the time. in all hte years of driving rwd with steering boxes ive never had a coupler at the steering box end of the shaft go bad. thats not to say it cannot but its not as likely as a loose steering box after years of use. they go bad contstantly just maybe not in fanatasy land. further if you do not check to see that your steering box doesnt have too much play its foolish. dont fool with the box if you dont know what your doing! go to your local dodge dealer and tell them you need a reapair kit for the steering coupler. bullshit. for the amount of cash you lay out for that stuff you can get a borgeson unit thta may be more $$ but will never fail in the lifetime of the truck. i cal bullshit on yours $9.50 isnt a lot of money! i will say it aint easy but worth it. installing the borgeson unit is about the easiest upgrade ive done to any vehicle and made one hell of a difference. in my case it was the very poorly manufactured upper coupling on the stock shaft that caused the play. i bet you wont do it for free will you max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. i used to think some of you idiots now i am convinced. there is a rag joint on a 75 pick up but it is above the coupler. there is a coupler with 2 shoes a spring dowl pin seal and a retainer. its been this way since the 60s now it probably has gone bad but considering its been in there since 75 i would say you got every dime out of it. the part # for the repair kit is 4443436ac and cost a whopping $9.50 spend a ton of money on the aftermarket reapir if you want but in 29 years i doubt the truck will still be used. the rag joint connects the upper column to the lower column not at the steering box. go take a look. there are no u-joints on the oem coupler just on 94 and newer. if you have u-joints then you have the aftermarket repair. if the rag joint went bad and not the coupler i would be shocked! .

they go bad contstantly just maybe not in fanatasy land. more rubbish. the ball and trunion style universal joint at the steering box found on most if not all dodges from the early 60s to the early 90s have a great realiability level. the present intermediate shaft doesnt fail in the universals but in the new fangled rag joint and i suspect in the poorly manufactured top end which allows for slop at the upper end where it connects to the column. further if you do not check to see that your steering box doesnt have too much play its foolish. dont fool with the box if you dont know what your doing! sounds like sage advice for people like yourself. the adjuster and lock nut are very simple and can be operated very easily. with a little restraint a novice could easily adjust it. i cal bullshit on yours $9.50 isnt a lot of money! so if it fails at the rate you claim why spend $95 replacing it all the time i bet you wont do it for free will you the question was how easy it was and it is very easy. however having been proven wrong you chose to change the subject. as to doing it for free that would depend on who i was working for. if i charged for it id charge for an hour of labor. i used to think some of you idiots now i am convinced. congrats you can leave now. now it probably has gone bad but considering its been in there since 75 i would say you got every dime out of it. ive never had one go bad. of course they do need to have grease in them to work properly. if the rag joint went bad and not the coupler i would be shocked! lol speaking of idiots...... max anvils dont kill cartoon characters cartoon characters kill cartoon characters. .

big al wrote i usually agree with red except in his politics. but he missed this one. transmission cooler first then through the cooler in the radiator. gm has an excellent brochure that describes how to do it the best way and why. they suggest an h looking thermostat that plumbs into the lines. in cold weather it bypasses the cooler as the transmission temp comes up it opens. in the gm brochure it explains what happens when the transmission temperature is too cold. the thermostat was available from jc whitney. i assume places that sell towing accessories would have them. one thing to explain the plumbing the brochure says the transmission can overheat and overheat the engine how about that routed properly like you said the oil is cooled by the water. thats more commonly called a heat exchanger rather than a cooler. it fairly efficiently transfers heat from one fluid to another in an attempt to equalize the temperatures. so if the trans fluid is very heat and the water temp is borderline hot it could cause the engine to overheat. thats one of the reason for running the trans fluid through the auxillary cooler first then through the radiator tank. -- ..bob 01 dakota quad cab 5.9/auto/4x4 97 h-d fxdwg - turbocharged! 84 gmc jimmy - mountain beater 65 427sc cobra ffr replica - project 66 mustang coup - daily driver -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .

yup well i had my 2 kids a boy and a girl so ill take your sage advice and not reproduce further. close minded nope...im one of the most open minded people youll meet. its just not right in my book...period! i dont give a rats ass what folks do behind closed doors...its no ones business. when they flaunt it like the queer parade every year here in san francisco it bothers me. keep it behind closed doors. when they bring it to the courts to make it legal it bothers me even more. i aint a gwb fan but i agree with him that marriage is between a man and a woman. whats next a shephard can marry one of his prized ewes same sh*t as far as im concerned. ill now gracefully bow out of this discussion...g --mike interesting topic. but how far up others asses do we feel like we need to be if johnny and robbie want to raise a child who are we to judge im sure there are plenty out there who feel that anybody so closed minded shouldnt reproduce as well. all in all who cares what i or you think should it not be up to whomever if they want to raise a child its not like its automatically harmful because of having gay parents. its because of reactions from closed minded people. so the closed minded people should immediately stop reproducing. sure ma judges are appointed by the ma gov but its already a national issue wont matter who is in the white house or what he thinks most folks in this country dont think little johnny or little betty needs 2 daddys or 2 mommys i cant agree with you more on that point! what a friggin joke. and thats coming from someone in the sf bay area...one of the queer capitals of the planet! --mike kerry he will be the next president hillary wont let that happen!!!! shed have to wait too long to run bg remember that it was a court decision and our judges are appointed by the gov. sure ma judges are appointed by the ma gov but its already a national issue wont matter who is in the white house or what he thinks most folks in this country dont think little johnny or little betty needs 2 daddys or 2 mommys politics the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich. .

how do dodge etc. get away with connecting all their standard equipment dual batteries together with nothing but big fat cables whats the big bugaboo about parallel lead-acid batteries anyway each 12-volt battery is six 2.1-volt cells connected in series. the parallel connection creates multiple sets of serially connected cells. if a cell shorts opens sulphates or anything else nothing catastrophic happens regardless of the number of individual batteries in parallel. the battery with the defect simply loses some or all of its capacity to store and discharge. there is no thermal runaway critical mass nuclear fission or anything like that. my real e-mail address is yofuri@oakharbor.net nobulltrans@mchsi.com writes not in modern systems the voltage regulator has a sense lead that is connected directly to the battery terminal electrically if you install diode isolators the regulator will raise the alternator output intil it senses normal voltage across the batteries well now see i just learned something. thanks for the insight. i still wouldnt suggest parallelling batteries tho unless you plan on spending the dollars to do it correctly. theres a lot more to it than just hooking the two together. -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .
