Need assistance regarding possible dealership overcharge

Q: does anyone know of an online database of parts and part numbers for a 2001 durango i think a dealer/body shop is trying to rip me off but i cant confirm it as im only able to find some of the part descriptions at dodgeparts.com the part numbers/description on the invoice and the description i found are 55256750 - rail --- roof - luggage carrier - rail right 55256751 - rail --- roof - luggage carrier - rail left 5003982 - brkt 5003983 - brkt 55256357 - strip --- roof - luggage carrier - skid strip 5003982aa - brkt --- roof - luggage carrier - support bracket right 5003983aa - brkt --- roof - luggage carrier - support bracket left 55256357ab - strip also do the parts come in sets of two or singly thanks in advance ken .

snip ken these parts come singly. most of the parts are bolted to the roof. with the exception of the following 5003982aa & 5003983aa. you have 2 of each part on your list. this would be right if you needed them. tell me do you have on your roof 2 rails that run the length of the truck and 2 rails that run the width of the truck if so you got what you paid for. if you do not have the rails that run the width of the truck then you got ripped. one thing i did notice is that they charged for 2 of the 55256357 skid strip and not for 4. 4 are needed. these four brackets total $302.40 for the four of them. and if you did get them i would ask why they didnt put the kit on that i told you about in the last post. good luck keep us posted. the truck has the two plastic/fiberglass rails screwed onto the roof that run the length of the roof. each rail consisting of bracket - cross rail - bracket run side to side. they gave me four brackets no cross rails. i went back to the shop and the manager just happened to be outside - the person who wrote up the quote was nowhere to be found. after telling me that the parts were non-returnable because they threw away the boxes we had some choice words they also did a crappy job of not cleaning the car. ive filed a compliant with the credit card company. they stated they cant do anything about the original quote having the wrong parts but since i was denied a return improperly they can proceed with that attempted to return within 30 days part was not custom order yada yada yada. im gonna write a nice little letter to their corporate office as well and cc the dealer that referred me to them. thanks ken .
