Q: yonzie@mac.com wrote dodge city dealership saskatoon saskatchewan put on wheel well trim covers runningboards rubber mat on endgate moulded mud flaps etc. when i bought my truck new from them in jan 03. last july i took off one of my mud flaps off to replace a screw. had it off and cleaned up the flap. decided to take off the wheel well trims at the same time to see how things look. under the trim paint was starting to blister and where they drilled the screw it was starting to rust. took off the other mouldings to see what was happening there check out my pics http//photobucket.com/albums/a24/yonzie/sc=1&multi=4 should be dodge wont dodge will fix my truck because the trims werent a mopar product. but yet the dodge dealership keeps selling them. as of last week the dealership was still looking into my problem and havent gotten back to me. just letting you know those wheel trims could cause a problem. not only do i see them on other dodge trucks seen them on fords also. if the dealership would tell you of the problems or tell you they should be taken off every now and then and be cleaned i know i wouldnt of put them on. i wanted to protect the fender lip from stone chips and got rust instead. dale .

wrote you only keep 1-2 gallons in it dont you drive the truck anywhere on thu 25 aug 2005 162249 -0600 dale yonz yonzie@mac.com wrote ykqpe.4295$ig2.2419@trndny01 j j@j.com wrote do they make locking gas caps for 1st gen durangos since the cap is tethered to the inside check with dodge parts they should have one. make sure its a mopar part if its not dodge will not warranty it if it should start rusting dale good point...something someone failed to mentioned when i asked this question a few weeks ago....but no problem..anyone who wants to try and steal 2-4 gallons of gas from my durango is really desperate.. thats why i make sure and only have 1-2 gallons in the tank! ;- i am thinking about getting a locking cap for my dak too... my truck is parked most the time so anyone could help them selves... at almost $3/gal i would rather not distribute it for free. any locking gas cap can be removed with a flathead screwdriver. anyone who wants your gas will still take it. -- posted using the http//www.autoforumz.com interface at authors request articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards topic url http//www.autoforumz.com/dodge-locking-gas-cap-ftopict135387.html visit topic url to contact author reg. reqd. report abuse http//www.autoforumz.com/eform.phpp=657525 .

yes it does. cool thanks. just understand that the scan tool isnt always right. more to the point just because it says theres a problem with xxx sensor doesnt mean that xxx sensor is bad. case in point a friend of mine had a ce light on scanned it and saw that the o2 sensor pre-cat was reporting lean. he replaced the sensor cleared the code and within minutes the code was back. when we actually looked the engine over we found the intake manifold gasket was leaking allowing more air in than the maf was reporting and causing a lean condition. the o2 sensor was working perfectly - the mixture was too lean. he thought he could fix the problem in 10 minutes with an $80 part. as it turned out it only cost about $20 but about three hours to do the job right. needless to say he didnt get his $80 back and after buying lunch and beer was out even more cash .
