NEW versus turned rotors Re: Slight steering wheel shake during downhill braking

From : todd w roat

Q: they did turn the rotors and problem resolved. they would not give me new rotors or pads. is that reasonable on a truck with only 5k; will i get shorter life out of the rotors now that they have been turned thanks todd todd no i couldnt find one. i checked dodgeram.org. carm thank me new rotors or pads. do you think turning the rotors is sufficient at 5ks carmen. any tsb associated with this todd take it to the dealer and tell them about it. my 03 ram qc hemi was doing the same thing around 7k miles. they replaced the rotors and pads on front and its been fine ever since then. they wrote on the invoice that they replaced the rotors with the latested recommended replacement rotors. which makes me think that this is an ongoing problem and dodge has issued a number of different rotors to fix the problem. carm minor issue. at 5k miles on my 2003 ram hemi 4x4 quad cab i have notcied a slight shaking in the steering wheel while braking particluar downhill. is this an alignment wheel balance known issue or tsb or combination of all thanks in advance! todd .
