My Knob is Turning

Q: ill give you a minute to get the jokes out of the way. ok - over the past month or so ive noticed that my gear shift knob is slowly rotating cw as evident by the shift position diagram. 2001 ram 1500 5-speed. the knob and stick arent loose cant be turned by hand but its slowly rotating. someone sneaking into my truck and twisting my stick !! or something else havent dug into it yet. your thoughts o. .
