Q: my experience with and research of organized religion is broad because of the way i was raised. my opinions are based on fact not the notion that any man is inspired or capable of the kind of inspiration that causes destructive behavior. man is man. nothing more. i am just as qualified to write a damn book as joseph smith is. hell im more qualifed. at least i dont let my dick do all of my thinking. cy less qualified. youre not humble and your mind is loaded with lies. 2 my exposure to mormon teachings comes from my father. a jehovahs witness circuit overseer. so you base your opinion of the mormon church on the opinion of a member of another church read what i wrote again pumpkin. i said he sent *articles* about mormons to me. his *opinion* of mormons never entered the statement. paper articles and books written by people that study the church and the behavior of its members particularly in the utah area. there is some seriously fucked up shit going on out there. cy there are a lot of different articles about mormons. your dad could not have sent every single article ever written to you. he had to pick and choose. and so he used his opinions to select which articles to send. thats like taking fords word for the quality of chevrolet. get first hand experience from which you can speak with authority. if youre going to criticize a simple book at least read the dang book. i dont have to read the book of mormon to know that it was written by a man with fucked up values. cy there you go showing selection and opinions again. try looking up some info on joseph smith. cy yes i have. he was a fine noble man who served honorably as the first prophet of the dispensation. thats the information i found. the bom is regarded as inspired in some segments of the mormon/lds church. cy how about all segments of the lds church lets get your facts straight. are you advocating that i/we take the writings of a morally challenged man as inspired thats what the mormon/lds church advocates ... cy actually if youd ever studied with the missionaries youd know that the lds church encourages people to pray and study the matter to know for themselves. we dont ask you to take any mans word for the matter. go to god in prayer and listen for the spirit. your ignorance is showing again. 3 no i have not read the book of mormon. i have never touched a burner on the stove either. not at all comparable. you cannot possibly debate the merits of any book without first reading the dang book. very comparable. i dont have to read it to know that it is a book written by a loony. i can look at the followers and know that it contains guidance that is in direct violation of good values .... cy having not read the book of mormon you can authoritatively speak on what it contains well using those standards id like to reccomend a surgeon for you to see in the morning. .
