Mirror & Tinting Questions

Q: just got a nice 03 hemi qc 17000 miles. notice some streaking on the driver & passenger windows. at first thought it was just dirt but upon closer examination it appears the tinting is streaking. anyone ever experience this anyway getting rid of it also notice the previous owner added some sort of after market mirror device he added to the outer edge of the drivers mirror. appears to be a small angled mirror which he glued on top of the original mirror. possible intent was to see a blind spot. would love to get rid of it. anyone ever hear of a device like this larry .

are you sure the windows arent out of adjustment and what you are seeing are rub marks it is probably held on with adhesive use a hair dryer and a plastic scraper to loosen and remove it. roy thank you very much for the hair dryer suggestion roy! it worked like a charm! used a blade and some wd40 to clean off what was left of the gooey adhesive after i removed the mirror. the windows open & close nicely no indication they are out of adjustment. the tinting film appears to be yet another after market item the previous owner added on top of the factory tinting. i have tried to used windex & a commercial window cleaner no luck. the marks appear to have etched their way into the tinting film. thanks again larry somebody might have cleaned them with a cleaner that had ammonia in it. that will mess up most tint. roy .

is there one on both sides mine came stock with both. jeff jeff there was only one of these odd mirrors and it was on the drivers side. anyway it is history now. thanks to roys suggestion of a hair dryer i was able to get it off this afternoon. larry .
