i was looking at that connection with the idea in mind to do something but do not know how to get it apart. looks like a thin piece of tubing slid up in the connector would release those two clips is that about right. im fairly certain i didnt use any tools to disconnect mine... should just be able to squeeze the two plastic tabs inward maybe while pushing the connector together then pull it apart. i definately know i didnt use any of my quick-disconnect tools. is there a screen pickup on the tank end of the fuel line inside the tank. suppose one would apply some air pressure to that fuel line blowing back into the tank. yes its inside the tank. moderate air pressure couldnt hurt id remove the fuel cap just on the off chance that a vent is plugged up - no need to rupture something else and might just break up a gelled-over pickup screen. does the tank have a drain on it under there somewhere. no unfortunately. .

its 180 000 kms or about 112 000 miles. i havent worked on gas jobs lately since i started working on diesel gennys but i remember 5 years ago o2 sensors where tune up items on most cars. usually between 70000 and 120000. at 180000 miles it may be about time. feel free to correct me if i am wrong here thanks. .
