Q: let me explain it then. in order for k&n or any of them to legally make those claims they have to have done it. they make no such legally binding claims. read the way they word it. it is very misleading. here is an example copied from the k&n website describing their high performance intake kits. designed to increase horsepower and acceleration by as much as 10% ... even if it results in a huge power loss they are only claiming they /designed/ it for an increase. what happens after you install it has no bearing on this claim. the only way you could bring legal action is if you can prove it increases horsepower and acceleration more than 10% and that they /designed/ it for more than a 10% increase. i suspect that will never happen. i bet k&ns lawyers suspect that will never happen either. -- ken they dont make any claims like that any more but they did and had for a number of years a couple of years ago actually more than five k$n had a ad in a couple of mags claiming a increase of 20hp at the rear wheels when useing their cai. there was so much protesting that they changed ther ad to whatever it is today. thinking about this ad it was when fitch was around and nate was sandman that era. roy plus the good ole k&n will not filter out the aftereffects of a couple of bags of castles. ive tried and it just doesnt work.. bg look my floppy eared buddy. i hate to brake the to ya but look at the size of what you are trying to filter. that wimpy k$n might just get sucked in. if ya want i might be able to make a call and get a filter off a locomotive. i figure the volume of fumes would be about the same. or failing that maybe a turbo scrubber they are heavey but im sure we can strap it on your wide ass. bfg first day of vacation and its rained all day. i did manage to get a couple of naps in tho. im thinking of going back to the beach its cooled off to about 86 nice breeze off the water. denny .
