yea and that is big business and the republican party protecting it but this has little to do with black boxes. i know i sound like some lunatic living in the mountains of idaho in a tiny log cabin; ranting on and on about big govt and big business as evil enterprises. they are not evil they just dont care. youre just a wallet to them. any oppurtunity to open that wallet a litle wider can and will be used. while true for most businesses i cant say that about all or even most of government. i still dont see how government can make money from this unless you are referring to the government creating tools for business to make more money and with the current administration i would agree but we are the ones that put them there. for example. lets say youre shopping for car insurance. when i was young you called a few agents around town they looked in the big book added their fee and quoted you a price. you made 6-8 phone calls then made a decision. simple. now what happens you make those same 6-8 calls or web site visits. but do you get a quote right away no they call you back later. why because your rates are based in part on your credit rating! so they do an inquiry to trw. if there are too many inquiries on trw your file is marked and flags go up. then your rating goes down. and your insurance quote goes up. why does this happen because the insurance companies conned/paid/whatever the board in to believing that customers with lower credit ratings were a greater accident risk and therefore could be charged more for the same product. actually if you do a little research you will find this to be a somewhat valid statement. people with lower credit ratings tend to be less responsible in life and that tends to reflect on their driving as well which makes them a greater risk. while it is not 100% accurate it is a method to keep rates in check. after all insurance companies are in business to make money and why should i pay more for other irresponsible drivers. this really has nothing to do with a black box anyway since its data will never be seen unless the vehicle is in an accident. here again theyve used available technology to open your wallet a little wider. actually they are using the technology to direct the costs to those who have the higher potential to cause them to increase and i have no problem with that. do you think this magic black box under your dash will be any differant if you do then i have some ocean front property in az for sale. of course i do and so should you. the black box gives no information unless you connect something to it and the only reason that would be done is to see what was happening when an accident occurred. this will do nothing more than give added information to the officers investigating an accident and possibly help to determine the cause and who is at fault. this will possibly give enough information to the insurance companies to asses the added costs to the ones who are responsible if it looks like their driving at the time significantly increased the risk. people need to take responsibility for what they do. btw i went to the ffr factory saturday to take a look at the spyder. it really is an awesome car. now i have to see if i can legally own it here in nc. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving . 222 292999 za-dnecnzbdd4hlcrvn-iq@adelphia.com looking at a 04 1500 at a local dealer do these come with the chrysler 9 1/4 rear or something else this one has 4 wheel disks it doesnt come equipped with sure grip differential so this would be done soon after purchase also which rear has or had the problem of breaking. thanks. .

one of the major discount insurance companies geico perhaps will give you a very nice discount for being a careful law-abiding driver and for allowing them to install a gps monitoring device to ensure that youre law-abiding. obviously i will never be a geico customer. like the song says i cant drive fifty-five. a gps is a completely different animal from a black box. the fact that you cant drive at the speed limit shows that you are not deserving of the discount that they offer anyway so no harm no foul. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

hi thank you for your time. i have a 1991 dodge dakota le extended cab 4 wheel drive with the 5.2 8cyl automatic. i am having 2 problems with my transmission. first i have a overdrive problem. when i get to about 65 the truck begins to shift into and then out of overdrive. the only way i can get around it is to press the o/d off button. the second problem is when i am at a stop light not all the time but a lot the truck will dip in rpms and come back quickly resulting in a small but noticable lurch. i had the fluid filter and gasket changed and the problems seemed to go away for about a week. then we went on vacation for a week. we drove almost 500 miles 1 way to baltimore. the truck performed flawlessly. there was none of the above problems. i just got back to massachusetts and it is starting over again. is there anyone who can help me thank you again for your time .
