From : mjc

Q: have had my truck in the shop this past friday to deal with what seems to be a harmonic vibration under various loads. just seems to come on and disappear at random times. last time i took it out of gear to see if it continued and it did. couple that with a transmission that slaps into drive when under a slow acceleration now that doesnt happen very often. shop says to bring it back monday as they have done everything the factory says to do and it still vibrates. anyone else experience this. know the cause thanks gary .

my ac/heater fan doesnt work most of the time. only the second from the highest setting works most of the time. the other settings almost never work. the only way i can make the one setting work somewhat consistently is to first turn the fan to the maximum setting and then come back down one setting. i checked the resistor as others have suggested. i did not detect any damage. did continuity and resistance checks and it seemed fine. im assuming the problem is in the switch itself. i figured if one of the resistor wires was broken then a particular fan setting would never work. but my fan settings sometimes work and sometimes not. i was looking in the chrysler service manual and they explain how to remove the switch. one step im confused about is the removal of the vacuum connecter. i see the vacuum lines but im not sure how to disconnect it. it looks like the lines connect into a connector part and it is screwed to the rest of the ac/heater control assembly by three screws. i unscrewed them but i still couldnt get it apart. has anyone else removed the ac/heater control how did you do it thanks - clint .
