Key fob programming issues

Q: that was the procedure i used and it did not work. john kunkel wrote i have a 2001 dodge dakota slt with a key fob issue. the batterery is good in the fob. i took the truck to the dealer and they tested the fob and the fob was giving out a signal. the fob will not unlock the doors and panic button will not work. i have tried to program the the fob to the truck but no luck. did you use the programming procedure outlined here http//dodgeram.info/tsb/2002/08-007-02.htm .

do these heaters get hot enough to damage the oil if they are left on for a couple of days im assuming the heating element is in contact with the oil but maybe not. thanks bill .

you are correct. i learned 2 things from this thread. 1 dont believe everything the tire/alignment shop tells me. 2 open the d@^ shop manual! i believe the toe in is the only adjustment that can be made on that truck. no - caster can be adjusted with the adjuster cams on the lower link arms. camber is fixed but offset sleeves for the i believe - been a while upper ball joints are available if needed. my vote goes for a worn joint on the track bar as well.... very common wear point on these trucks. .

back to the dealer and loose and arm and leg. a 16mm socket should tighten them right back up... .
