to a point. in return for a smaller engine you may have to turn more rpm due to different gearing to accomodate the same load capacity. ok lets pretend i didnt do my homework. go look at the specs of the deutz yourself. no pretending about it you didnt do your homework. you quote ratings but im betting they are for a bare engine iow dyno numbers. the rating would likely change from what is published to a different set of numbers for a 2500 series dodge and to yet another rating if placed in a 1500 series dodge and thats simply based on drivetrain variations. the fact is you cannot simply replace six cylinder with a four cylinder and expect all to be the same just because the rating is similar. as one other post noted the torque and hp curves will be different even if the peak numbers are similar and thats just a start. id be glad to look at the specs you like so much only the deutzusa site doesnt seem to have the engine you are talking so much about. uhhh...you are spitting silliness. the bf4m2013c & bf6m2013c are both automotive engines. what more do you want when did i say everything would be the same. do you think im naive when youve finished your several years of r&d i may actually find merit to your claims. ill get right on it...hold your breath. second guessing is a way of life for us engineers. im assuming then that either the r&d doesnt mean a thing to you or youll be posting your r&d results in a few months. ....keep holding your breath... vibration doesnt rob me of fuel...what are you saying exactly sure it does. any extraneous motion lowers efficiency. larger internals to stand up to the load will lower efficiency. more degrees of revolution between firing cycles will lower efficiency to a point. so you are argueing vibration robs efficiency...ok...ill let you have that one. now you feel like a winner would deutz build an engine to produce x amount of power with moving parts that can endure only x-1 loads...hmmm...someone had better get on the phone with deutz and tell them they are about to go bankrupt ; hardly. duetz would only put the engine into applications for which it was designed. as another post noted a four cylinder diesel is great for applications requiring a constant rpm such as power generation and pumping such as water or hydraulic. the bf4m2013c was designed as an automotive engine. so.... actually a straight eight is more so...but whos splitting hairs. well you are so lets look at it a bit..... the eight has more cylinders and more moving parts as well as a crankshaft thats twice the length/weight of your much ballyhooed four cylinder. thus were back to the inline six as being the most efficient configuration. the straight eight would win based on smoothness of operation if designed correctly. if designed incorrectly it would simply have even worse vibration than the four. then maybe we are agreeing on something because it is practical. nuff said on your part. if the four was as practical as you claim it would be the mainstay of otr trucking. its not. you speak of big rigs no im not the ceo of any manufacture nor do i play one on tv. so my discussion is of personal vehicles. the other continents are flooded with small pickups with diesel four bangers. though i see all these city buses driving past my office window and they are all running on four cylinder cats....hmmm...those silly bus drivers. someone had better go tell them they are not practical and to halt their silliness ; really if so id like to see a model number on them. ....still holding your breath...can you still see the monitor or are you blacking out pretty soon you might have a truck getting 25mpg or better. i suggest that i could have that this afternoon if my foot werent so heavy. thats to me. welcome to conservative driving. now i took it for granted you were speaking of a dodge truck. if you are getting 30mpg i would really like to know your secret. wonder why i posted that i would need a sturdy set of 3.11 gears. wonder why you chose not to factor that into my arguement because the issue as stated by you was an engine swap not a drivetrain alteration as i stated previously. never said i didnt like cummins. i seek to improve what i already own. cummins make fine engines...but its a little naive to think cause chrysler chose the cummins then cummins is the best engine available ; naive no. practical yes. see most of us figure that if we wanted to redesign our trucks wed not have bought a new one. maybe cause your options are so limited. personally i wish i had more options. life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan let me guess...your a republican. wrong. what bearing does my voter registration have on this discussion just so close to the election...im getting

tbone wrote no i didnt idiot. i said it would benefit if nothing but a pulley was installed and no other adjustments made. no you didnt liar that is what i said but thanks for agreeing with me. not agreeing at all ...... my statement should have read i said it wouldnt benefit. mistake in the word but you already know that dont you numb nuts. you asked for proof that a pulley change could give 40hp no i didnt stupid ......... i ask for proof that a waste gate change would give a 40 hp increase. are you really so stupid you think no one reading these posts cant remember what they read. and i gave you a site that claimed 130+. you sure did and it was nothing but a sales pitch as you also know. now i agree with roy that other mods would probably have to be done to reach that level then why did you say hey jerry look at this and no mods are needed except a pulley change. damn you are stupid. and i already said that the engine probably would not hold up to that for long but they did not say that any other mods were required. i would think that if they claimed 130 that 40 would be easy and the site that roy pointed me to pretty much confirmed that with the claims other owners were making on there. watching you back peddle in your own crap is enjoyable. again ...... prove your statement or shut up. which one hell ill make it easy on you pick one any one. and when asked how used your truck and its reaction as an example. that seems like a comparison to me and a bad one at that. another flat out lie on your part. no it isnt. we were talking about superchargers turbochargers and the lightning. how would your diesel truck get into it unless you used it for an invalid comparison. your stupidity is really becoming mind boggling. my truck got into it because i said i know what it does if a code is set from over boost. youre the one who ask what would the lightening do if a over boost occurred. thats not a comparison dumb shit just telling you that the ecm would set a code. you think it would hell you dont know... which by default means that you were using it as a comparison to the lightning lol. thanks for proving my point for me once again. how much more desperate can you get............. to lie is one thing but to lie and know everyone knows you are lying is beyond stupid. once again .... prove it or shut up. i would but you just did it for me which either makes you the liar or a complete idiot. personally i think that its a little of both in your case. only thing you are proving is what a lying little maggot troll you are....... oh wow ...... now the troll boy is crying because he has no backing or support. name one person on here that supports or backs you..... there is none troll boy. listening to you cry is really becoming boring. lol why do i need backing or support. this is usenet not to you it isnt ............. its your entire existence. without it you have no life.... bob and i are having an intelligent conversation about a common interest. bob may be but all you are doing is bull shiting. hey youre the guy that cried about people buying things they dont need waste and greed and about people driving gas guzzlers then you admit you got yourself a truck you parked in the garage because gas cost to much. now you rant on this big home you have but dont need on all this property you dont need and now your going to run out and order a car you have never even see except for a picture. you dont even have the intelligence to be on the level of stupid. everything about you is a lying fake hell even your signature is a fake. okay asshole come back and rattle off some more of your stupid lies and bull so you can have the last word which is the only thing your simple one cell mind desires. youre simply not worth the time and energy and this thread has really become boring as is all threads you are involved in. jerry .
