Q: i didnt say that you personally were proposing that was just pointing out that once you start down the road of deciding what risk is acceptable for someone else you never know where that logic will lead. i have met several people who believe that motorcyclists no matter what safety equipment they wear voluntarily take on the extra risk so others should not be responsible for their medical bills. i know that is not what you said but it is only one little step further... tbone wrote yes it is very foolish to not use a seatbelt... but... look where your logic leads... riding a motorcycle even with proper equipment including helmet is statistically much more dangerous than driving in a car... many would even call the choice to ride a motorcycle foolish because of that increased risk. should motorcyclists be barred from receiving emergency medical care because of their standards for safety are not the same as others who prefer to drive a minivan with 6 airbags lol where did i say that anyone should be barred from receiving emergency medical care what i said that if they are too dumb to use the safety equipment provided they should be responsible for the costs of not using it. this means no law suites or expensive reconstructive surgery on my wallet for injuries that could have and should have been avoided. if they can afford it themselves then i could care less if they wear the belt or not and if not minimum required lifesaving care only. as for a motorcycle the same rules should apply. if you choose to ride without protective gear and get hurt too bad for you. .

by the way i forgot to add the dealer wanted something like $30 for a mopar filter. why not spend the extra $20 and have the lifetime filter. roy wrote jon wrote just put a k & n air filter in my 5.9l 2002 ram. any ideas if i will see an improvement in gas mileage or other places its amazing to me the truck gets any air at all the way the intake box is setup. thanks for the info. jon a few years ago one of the rags hot rod car craft did a build up story on the dodge 5.9. the used strictly mopar performance parts made one change at a time and did a dyno test between each change. they tested air cleaner headers computer cam and a couple other small things i cant remember the result was the only part that made a significant improvement was the open element air cleaner. all other parts made no difference or lost power. re

. going to be interesting what the studies reveal in about 5 years. what that youre an idiot. k&n had been in business since 1969 and are well respected except by the experts on usenet. well....hell...here we go again... on the internet everyone is an expert on something.....i guess you are an expert at calling people idiots. i guess i am an expert at calling you a stupid fuck #300 #2 for 2004..google that...and you will understand and be an expert on the sf list... now..i ran k+n garbage on a couple of rides...one was a 1150 kawasaki and after we rebuilt it twice due to ring failure we went back per the factory reps advice to paper filters and its got a tad over 45000 on it since that time.. i ran k+n on my 426 with eight...count em...eight stacks fi and more hp than you prob have combined in your driveway. dyno testing a few years back proved no gain with the k+n without a filter or with a paper filter...no loss either with the paper. i ran one on my firebird when it was cool to have that decal and filter in the car....after 3 months in the deserts of ca the tb was caked with dust...and a set of rings was due.. now...all i can say is this.. k+n wont publically test the filter because it will fail. it is all marketing hype and hype is nothing in the real world. you think you have something that makes you feel faster or makes you feel good cause its in there...fine...but dont come in here talking about usenet experts...the average expert is a kid in a honda that swears his japanese decal on the window makes 20hp and calls us racist when we say hes driving a ricer..of course..you know those coffee can mufflers make up to 200hp....right k+n nothing but a filter that does a piss poor job with a great marketing campaign and a sucker born every minute. i think i am gonna run right out and buy me a fart tip muffler a k+n and some cool decals for the service vans.....i ought to be able to go bust a vette pulling the drag car to an event after that... .

ill try to make sure that the wood pieces are small. and i will use thin galvanized wire instead of glue as i think it will hold up to years of temperature changes vibration heat etc better than glue. i have this really thin galvanized wire that ill wrap around the back of the radio and attach the wood supports by making holes in them and threading wire through them. i when you get this done please put some pictures of it on the internet. im very interested to see what this looks like. .

did you connect the pioneers remote turn-on wire blue/white to the blue power antenna wire in the chrysler harness that was it! i misunderstood labeling on the wires and thought that they were unrelated even if of the same color. as soon as i connected them everything started to work great. now i have a spiffy new receiver in my pickup. i pretty sure its either positive or not sure! i checked labels on every wire that i connected. i i just installed a pioneer deh-7500mp radio in my truck. i bought a chrysler connector kit from walmart and soldered wires according to colors and functions. the radio powers up beautifully displays cute pictures and plays a cd. but no sound whatsoever is heard. what could it be i am pretty sure that i got wires connected properly. i .

did you solder the leads while the harness was plugged into the radio i sold a 740mp to a guy that did this and it toasted the outputs. no i did not do that. the problem is solved by the way. i paul vina try this out... there is everything you need here including wiring codes. http//www.installdr.com/ thanks. i already have wiring codes and i wired the cables according to wiring. thereis one cable calles mute that is not connectable to anything the manual says leave it alone. i am a little suspicious that my symptoms are kind of like muting... i i just installed a pioneer deh-7500mp radio in my truck. i bought a chrysler connector kit from walmart and soldered wires according to colors and functions. the radio powers up beautifully displays cute pictures and plays a cd. but no sound whatsoever is heard. what could it be i am pretty sure that i got wires connected properly. i .

this may be a bandage type fix- but at least they may be able to get some heat for now until the real problem can be figured out. no..its a bullshit fix. he either has a working system or he does not and the cardboard crap is a bullshit way of trying to find out. it will create more issues than he will want... and the point of doing this is what there is obviously something wrong and unless you intend to keep the radiator blocked at all times to hide the symptoms of the problem doing this serves no purpose. i would probably check the thermostat first and make sure that it is functioning properly and not hung up. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving have you tried putting cardboard between the transmission cooler and the front of the radiator. if the hoses are not heating up enough then i would try the cardboard. cover about 1/2 of your radiator to start - but watch the temp very closely you dont want to overheat the engine and ruin it. i have the same problem with my 98 1500. it has me confused. i have changed the thermosat flushed the system and still not heat. the engine does not come up to temp. and the heater hoses are not hot like they should be. the upper hose is hot but should be hotter. did anyone find the problem .

i find it remarkable that such a frivolous product can see such wide spread use and continue to sell year after year when its so obviously a ruse. you mean like slick50 how about magnets on the fuel line better yet...anything out of the jc whitney catalog then a lot of people are being duped. rick i think you just hit the nail on the head... a bunch of people have bought these cause they look cool or cause their buddy has one or cause they saw it on hot rod tv. if the filter really did what it was claimed to kn would have no trouble running a few dyno tests to show it off. just because it sounds faster doesnt mean it really is faster. denny .

the harnesses at walmart arent any worse than the ones at a stereo dealer.... but... you should support your local car stereo dealer but not if its owned by a man named ed. fhlh wrote u really fucked it up you shopped at walmart never ever shop at a walmart. it doesnt matter if walmart pays you to take merchandise it is still not worrth owning. quite simply you should have spent the extra 30 cents and bought a quality harness at a syereo shop heck even a radio shack. actually everything works after i connected the blue wire which i did not connect due to confusion. what happens when you plug the factory radio back in works if so then it has an external amp that needs turned on at the harness i suppose you are correct... or that crappy radio u bought at walmart is just another example of the 3rd rate goods they sell. i dont care what the model numbers say walmart sells crap i actually bought the radio elsewhere but the harness i bought at walmart. i .
