so for safety sake weight has to be added but... but... but... you dont need to add weight in the back to a 4x4 ^ you dont unless of course you decide to hang a huge plow on the front of it. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving .

ive tried that still nothing check all the ground straps. usually a bad ground causes funny shit to happen. ground straps should run between battery and engine frame and engine frame and body. they may be hard to locate but look for them jsut the same. .

gary wrote all of these supposedly were checked out by the service dept before the decided to replace the engine under warranty thankfully. they replaced the harmonic balancer before the engine. didnt know if there was any common problem to the model that others may have experienced. thanks gary gary what i find most interesting is that you get to go back to the dealer and tell him that even after replacing the engine the problem is still there. how many of us have been victims of the replace parts one-by-one method of auto repair usually at great cost to us by dealers that just dont seem to want to solve the problem you got a brand new engine! i just love that. ;- jeff miles wrote lots of things can cause vibrations. of course tire/wheel balancing is the most common. what about drum/disc out of balance drive shaft flywheel or harmonic balancer bad u-joints and many other things. gary wrote well the dealer replaced my engine short block 4.7l and i still have a vibration. i still think it is in the suspension. seems to accentuate or even reverberate from the existing road surface. took my 2004 expedition over the same road and could feel a similar but less pronounced vibration in that vehicle. is there anyone that knows if this is to be expected from a 2003 could it be something in the suspension i dont want to go back to the dealer if this is just one of those things. on the otherhand it is annoying if it can or should be fixed. gary .

so for safety sake weight has to be added but... but... but... you dont need to add weight in the back to a 4x4 ^ i know i know. never have had to before with a 4x4 but with the plow raised the rear wheels respond like they are barely making contact with the ground. now with snow on the ground traction becomes a joke. maybe its the weight of the qc that is making the difference maybe it is the 610 i dont know. i didnt have anywhere near the problem with the 2k standard cab plow weight was about the same i dont think the cummins jumped a whole lot in weight. who knows. roy anyone who knows anything knows that you plow from the rear!!!! odl now there is that c&w logic agan. you will learn eventually that there is more than way to deliever the goods. no wonder you folks are always singing about yer girl friends dumping ya!! gbmfg roy -- moparman---remove clothes to reply! --scud coordinates 32.61204 north 96.92993 west-- .

well this is canada eh! was quoted $600 to remove and replace with part included so did not know what was actual part price. when i picked up the truck was surprised with the fact my warrantee covered the job with $100 deductible. so cannot tell you the part price after all. it was the lift pump expensive little devil! are they still around $140.00 at 60000 miles you are ahead of the game. it would probably a good idea to get a fuel pressure gauge roy .

look in the passenger side kick panel. you may find the old style connector in there. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving i want to install my xm radio using the hard wire kit which plugs into the xm roady 2 unit and also plugs between the 2004 dodge radio. since the last time i installed a radio in a car a few years ago things have changed. where one plugs the regular radios antenna into the back of the radio the connectors are different. i need to obtain some adapters which will change both the trucks radio and the end of the trucks antenna cable back to the old fashioned type. any ideas i dont know why dodge or mother chrysler had to change them in the first place. .

it was the lift pump expensive little devil! brian wrote today driving at a steady highway speed 99 dodge pickup i experienced a problem with my cummins diesel engine which if it had of been a gas engine i would have called it a high speed miss . the truck seemed to loose a bit of power when going up a slight incline. the problem seemed to disappear but again on an incline the miss was somewhat evident. i will take the truck in to the dealer as soon as possible. i did open the water collection valve and the problem is still there. about 60000 miles on the engine now. any ideas the crankshaft position sensor may be bad. interesting thought as the crankshaft positioning sensor was replaced a couple of months ago. the warning then was a check engine light. the fact that the miss is not consistent concerns me that they will not be able to determine the exact problem. i will respond once i get the truck fixed. thanks to all who offered ideas .

i love to help the helpless but help me please... when did a caravan become a truck or has it grown up or still just a wannabe well... i agree. but technically it is a truck according to chrysler in that the vin says so... i suppose because it sits on a truck frame as opposed to a unibody frame. anyhow i new my question was general enough to apply to real trucks as well and there is no a.a.d.cars and if there were who would want to ask a question over there anyway thanks group for all your help. kpg hey i do own a truck really...this is my wifes car p .
