stevie ray go commercial no way bud. what his estate is doing is no indication of what he would have done if he was still with us! goofing around back in 1983 during the summer at the tender age of 26 up in toronto. wandered into a joint called the mocombo and had my first encounter with this great bluesman. wotta show! wow! had never even heard of him before this. was living near kenosha wisconsin in 1990 and made a little trip to alpine valley in august. caught him again in what turned out to be his last show ever. if anything he was even more into his music then than he had been 7 years earlier. if people like clapton or b. b. king want to sell out that is their business. just remember that there is a difference between being a businessman and being a musician! and stevie ray was a musician! hot button hit. bob was alive today im pretty sure he would be making music for hemi commercials. -- moparman remove clothes to reply .

youre right about his estate doing it. i suspect stevie would blow his nose on any contract put in front of him. ;- jeff i was actually thinking about him wiping his nether extremity with it -d like i also said if some folks want to sell out their music that is their business. i love claptons work but i hear to many of his things in commercial jingles to have any doubt about him not being a business man. and if bob seeger wanted to sell out did he really have to go with chevy copywrite laws being what they are and if something is in the public domain for a long enough period of time these ad agencies do not have to get permission for using some songs but many do get the permission just so that they do not irritate the authors/artists or the fans. they are not stupid and an angry fan could be a lost sale. but to srv it was all about just the music not selling something in the future. he was in the here and now with just him his guitar and the music that flowed from him. still cooling down but just a touch warm under the collar still. bob .
