Q: the cummins isb in my truck just started to missfire occasionaly. this happens about every 5-10 minutes and seems to be one ot two cylinders. anybody ever seen this. the diags. run show nothing wrong. .

the cummins isb in my truck just started to missfire occasionaly. this happens about every 5-10 minutes and seems to be one ot two cylinders. anybody ever seen this. the diags. run show nothing wrong. check your fuel system. no codes will be set on mechanical systems and the fuel system is mechanical with electronic control. the problem could be a number of things but first guess would be injector trouble or injection pump problems. easiest to look for would be to check the injector lines to be sure they were not cracked leading to loss of pressure. max life liberty and the pursuit of any jackass that threatens it. embellished usnavy slogan .
