Q: first off let me stress that this is not spam. i dont sell these i dont know anybody that does and i dont own stock in the company last night i used the hyper tech programmer for my dodge equipped with a 3.92 rear gear and michelin ltx m/s tires in stock size. i live at 6500 feet above sea level. the 360 is a pretty good motor made for torque and not hp. just the way i like it. nice flat torque curve with plenty of area under the curve. acceleration is good but you can feel the engine strain a bit on hard acceleration. like everyone else i wanted more power smoother operation and better drivability. added gas mileage would be a bonus. so i purchased the hypertech tuner because it gave me the option of high performance for 93 octane and medium performance for 87 octane. i tow occasionally so i didnt want the timing advanced too far. first impression is very positive. smoother and better acceleration that i can feel. slightly quicker throttle response off the line and with hill climbing and freeway passing. transmission shifts about the same dont notice any change there. i drove the same rout that includes freeway onramps steep up hill climbs and residential roads. i tried all three programs one after the other. so its easy to tell if theres a change or not. it only takes about 5 minutes to reprogram on the side of the road. bouncing back and forth from one program to the other is pretty easy. im taking a short road trip this week end with some mountains some freeway and some back roads. so ill get a better idea of fuel mileage changes. in short its a definite positive improvement that is measurable through the butt-o-meter. heres the caveat though. the hypertech unit stores your stock program and flashes the performance program into your truck. if somebody comes a long and reflashes your computer youre hosed. so you have to be sure and change things back to stock before you drop it off at the dealer. if for some reason they reprogram your computer you have to buy a new hyper tech unit. -- ..bob 97 h-d fxdwg - turbocharged!! 01 dakota quad sport 5.9/auto/4x4 83 gmc jimmy beater 66 427sc cobra replica - project 66 mustang coupe - daily driver -----= posted via feeds.com uncensored usenet =----- http//www.feeds.com - the #1 group service in the world! -----== over 100000 groups - 19 different servers! =----- .
