How to de-green my Line-X?

From : jmc

Q: looks great. did you sell the silver ram no still have the silver ram. i had decide to keep it as a service vehicle and took it off the market. now ive determined that a 4x4 van would be a much better choice and im getting ready to put it back on the market if you know of anyone who is interested. -- nathan w. collier http//7slotgrille.com http//utilityoffroad.com .

thats not precisely helpful. i was under the impression that it was a dealer item only. ill contact some auto parts stores to see for sure; wouldnt be the first time i was wrong about something. --hc .

oh i realize in re-reading my post that i forgot to mention that all fuel whether from a gas station pump or from my transfer tank goes through tmy primary factory tank so whatever filtration i want/need must go between the factory tank and the lift pump. tia --hc .

suddenly without warning hc exclaimed 3/20/2005 732 am fwiw i concur with bobs suggestions. you might also ask any local installer or the corporation directly if no one installs line-x over there what their recommendations are you cant be the only person in england with a line-x bed; somebody must have a first-hand experience with that problem. they dont sell line-x in england afaik. pickup trucks dont enjoy the popularity yet! that they do in the states so theres not enough of a market. id have to back to the installer. i still think what bob has suggested is excellent tho and if the line-x bedliner cant hanlde a little mildew remover and some bleach then its probably not gonna protect it from any really nasty stuff anyway. true. ill try the mildew remover. wonder if they sell it by the gallon hth take care. --hc .

wharkness1 wrote that sounds about right. i was told at the cummins factory that the millage will go up a bit when i get about 50000 miles on my dodge. i now get 16.6 and this is with a 4.10 rear end and a 5 speed auto trans. i dont think 16.6 is too shabby! i had a ford 3/4 ton with the 5.4 gas engine and i never got more that 17 avg.. the 2004-2005 trucks are a lot heavier that your dads 1997. my new truck is getting only about 15 mpg. my dads 1997 averages 20 mpg or better. my truck only has about 11000 miles on it. is my fuel mileage average or just too early to tell while the engine breaks in i too have a 2004 600 4x4 dually with 6000 miles on it automatic and 3.73s. it has never seen 15 mpg 14s on the highway empty and 13s in town. dropped into the twelves when towing a single axle trailer with about 3000# gross on it. real disappointing since i traded a 99 cummins dually that routinely got 18+. i was expecting some less but not this much. came here to see what others were experiencing. anyone else had experience with a dealer adjustment that improved economy has anyone seen significant improvement after the break in period thanks -- posted using the http//www.autoforumz.com interface at authors request articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards topic url http//www.autoforumz.com/dodge-poor-fuel-mileage-2004-cummins-600-3500-4x4-ftopict104297.html visit topic url to contact author reg. reqd. report abuse http//www.autoforumz.com/eform.phpp=509352 .
