How does the oil system work??

Q: i have a 97 ram 1500 p/u. i am in the process of rebuilting the engine. and i have a question. how does the oil get up to the cylinder wall and the piston i dont see any oil hole except the one in the crank journal but the rod bearing does not have any hole in it to let the oil up the rod or anything as such... its really got me baffled... can anyone help me understand this .

just drop the obvious my friend. i had to keep it simple so a liberal could figure it out ya know. vbg glad to see you around man...pop a mail my way...lost a few in a hdwipe notlong ago... the cylinder piston and on some engines the cam lobes are lubed by oil thrown off the rod bearings as the crank spins. its not efficient or pretty but it does do the job. budd i have a 97 ram 1500 p/u. i am in the process of rebuilting the engine. and i have a question. how does the oil get up to the cylinder wall and the piston i dont see any oil hole except the one in the crank journal but the rod bearing does not have any hole in it to let the oil up the rod or anything as such... its really got me baffled... can anyone help me understand this .
