How To Diagnose Engine Stumbling
From : spunky
Q: 1991 dodge power ram 50 v6 3l 4x4. my dodge truck starts stumbling when it gets to about 40mph and overall it seems there is a lack of power. it almost seems to want to die until i slow down and let it idle. is this problem related to a mass air sensor how would this sensor affect engine performance compared to a manifold pressure sensor .

was catastrophic converter. lol ive seen that before as well... a buddys phord muskrat did the same thing. they should be available in the aftermarket -- if thats the cause. if they are too ignorant or lazy to have it diagnosed by a competent mechanic and pay a couple dollars let them throw parts at it. they want to complain about how expensive parts are or paying someone competent for a diagnosis but theyll spend 10 times that throwing parts at it and it still isnt fixed then they are posting about how dodge trucks suck. amazing ill start watching reality tv shows when i can vote people off the planet. .

i got a loaner tool from autozone. and it went in straight. today i replaced it with another new one that also seemed to press easily. will test drive tomorrow and monitor the ball joints position. if it moves i guess its time for a new upper a arm or tack weld the joint. i read that loctite has a retaining compound but couldnt locate an auto parts store that sells it. any experience with this cbhvac stephenaddressscfrewedonpurpose@carolinabreezehvac.com wrote in i just replaced all four ball joints perfect circle in my 95 ram 1500 and after a few miles the right upper ball joint popped out of the upper suspension arm. anyone heard of this before yup...did you use the right tool when you pressed out the old ones i thought that when i pressed in the ball joint that it was a little easier than the other side. new one not to spec chances are the ball joint is fine..its the a arm thats not. too bad dodge just presses these in from the top with no retainers. funny....so does ford and gm.... .

i guess that would depend on your state laws covering emissions components. some states iirc require a factory replacement. -- if at first you dont succeed youre not cut out for skydiving tbone fatchance@noway.now wrote in that sounds more like a plugged converter. is there a universal coonvertor that will work or do i have to go to a dodge dealer these things are expensive! .
