Q: heres the details 97 ram 2500 club cab slt lwb 4x4. 5.9l v8/auto. 86500 miles. emerald green/light driftwood w/ gray interior. seats and carpet are perfect. body color application-specific fiberglass steps. new cooper a/t tires. new rotors and calipers last year; brakes are better than new. towing package and camper package. everything works. excellent condition overall and runs great. one owner. all maintenance records available. $13000. i am located near harrisburg pa. john lockhart jwlbal@epix.net .

data wrote at http//dodgeram.info/tsb/2002/19-003-02.htm they mention a fix for the loud noises when steering. what they dont say is if it customer service issue and not truly necessary or if the fix is necessary for life of steering pumpsetc or a real safety issue. in addition to the hissing on my truck if i very quickly turn the steering wheel it feels like the power steering dies for a split second. it only dies for that split second when i do a 345...15 point turn. i never really though about the noise as the engine and a lot of the weight of the truck is over the front wheels. this is my first large vehicle in good shape and seeing as it has done this since it did this since day one before now i never gave it much thought. should i get it fixed i just listen to my truck for any changes on how it sounds and this one hasnt changed -- i just found the tsb for the issue. l v d a t a s p a m t r a p a t c o x d o t n e t make it look normal to reply 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.2/318 5 speed manual standard cab short bed. that tsb does not apply to your truck. you dont have the hydroboost brake system. the hydroboost system was only used on the 2500/3500 diesel models. http//dodgeram.org/tech/specs/brakespecs.htm .
