i dont think he has an aftermarket headlight/bulb. the oem wiring is fine for the oem bulb. it sounds more like you have a bad ground wire to the dim bulb. trace the headlights ground wire back to where it is grounded to the chassis and check the quality of the connection. john .

steelers58@yahoo.com says... i am new to this group. i am thinking about purchasing a dodge ram 1500 quad cab. i recently saw two at a dealership with the same miles around 49k. one was a 2002 and the other a 2003. ive read some of your quotes regarding the steering problems in the 2002. one wrote this skprdave 10/04/2002 090439 i am new to this forum but the problem with your trucks is this in about the 2002 model year dodge engineering redesigned the steering gear box to make the truck handle more like a car. it didnt work. two characteristics are a unpredictable tendency to wander and upon going over s dip in the road the steering wheel will rotate slightly. my dealer tech talked to star the dodge tech-support in detroit and he knew the problem well. there is no fix period. does anyone know if this was changed in the later models jeff i never heard of this and my 03 doesnt do it. bdk .
